Yeah ACE is cool.

Back to the topic question...

REPRO...Skinny Puppy, Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft and such

DIVA...everything else :)

Why compare with the word "better" in mind anyway? There isn't such a thing as better. It's all about preferences... and as a well known fact, discovered by Siddharta Gautama and many many philosophers ages ago, such things are illusions.

In other words I think every synth is great for what it is and a comparison doesn't actually make much sense. What indeed makes some sense... at least for some people... is using a synth and have fun with it :)

Have joy and be sound.

My little observation about labelling soft synths this or that is this: try to make some patches from scratch yourself. Then hear and judge. Browsing presets and saying a synth is like this or that is not an objective judging of a synth. Any synth. Or a sampler. Preset makers always use plenty of FX and make them very loud, which I find utterly annoying btw. and it makes the judgement far harder. I don't think I have to explain why? Or do I?

First thing I do to evaluate a synth: turn the volume down, turn off the FX. Now we're talking. I almost never use the onboard FX anyway.

Not that there's anything wrong with the current one but I would love to have one of the same quality as Bazille's which I find a bit more analog sounding.
Are you aware of how many people's projects will get broken if they suddenly decide to change the sound of it? For that, you need ACE 2. With warning that it will change the sound of your patches. This is how the updates work. You get what you get. Bugs will mostly be dealt with, but don't expect the change in sound.

Of course it would be a different mode for the filter so old projects would still sound the same.
