That's interesting. I only got the $99 offer in my email.

So what does Nova GE do that I can't do with my FabFilter plugins? Just wondering if I should get it since this seems to be a really good price for it. Thanks

Pro-MB can only do rough crossover-style multiband compression (even though the internal workings are a dynamic EQ).

Pro-Q 3 is a dynamic EQ like Nova but you don't have much control over the compression.

Nova (GE) lets you specifically set all parameters for each dynamic filter, just like a regular compressor. It is also a parallel EQ instead of a serial EQ, which allows for some unique possibilities as explained in the manual. There are also some automatic operations such as dynamic deresonation. Lastly the processing can be set to be of extreme quality. It is a more CPU intensive plugin in general, maybe best applied where needed.

Thanks! Probably worth it then. :borg:

I have so much stuff and just don't have time to learn it all. Probably because I spend most of my limited time just getting the notes in, if that makes sense. I rarely get to the mix part, let alone the mastering, before I decide it isn't what I'm hearing in my head. Although, maybe if I worked on the mix part more, my not so great music would actually sound good.

Well, despite me obviously liking these plugins a lot, you don't need to get more stuff if you've already covered the basics. I got TDR's set of plugins instead of FabFilter's, not both.

Coincidentally, the sale on the Heroes reverb, Eventide Tverb, is the lowest it's ever been and ends tomorrow:

The Nova GE Smart Operations seem pretty amazing. I'm wondering how they compare to Soothe and RX EQ Match, for example.

Have you tried Ozone Master Assistant and Neutron Mix Assistant yet?

I apologize, we only had a limited number at that price and they're all gone now.

They haven't told us anything yet but I remember that it happened soon after BFD3 sales in the past. The BFD3 Upgrade sale ends today so maybe that's a good sign?

That’s what I’m thinking too! So maybe tomorrow :)

No worries  I think it was just a impulse GAS buy for me. If I remember correctly, there should be a surprise Xils Lab deal coming tomorrow?

I have Ozone, but I'm never all that happy with the result it gives me. I may need to play with it more. I don't have Soothe, though I hear it is really great for mastering.

btw, I've been putting up new $21 deals every day. Most of them only last a few hours.

I've been using the Ozone Master Assistant a lot lately. I always have to tweak whatever it suggests but not by much, it's very conservative and I basically just lower the threshold on the Maximizer, push the EQ's harder, etc.
