Is there a quick way to copy a large amount of notes ? I would like to copy the 8 bars assigned to pattern/note D to E in one operation. Is it possible ?

Isn't there any way really to quickly in one step copy all that's in the D key to the E key ?

The only way I found so far is to erase everything that's found under the E key, add the number of bars needed to be like D, then manually select and copy notes from D to E. I still don't get a feel for what seems to be the invisible cursor, so I paste then have to drag the notes in proper place. Then redo for the next batch of notes.
At first I though, here I an asking a noob question about something I did not see but is blatantly there. The lack of obvious answer makes me reconsider though, but still not sure because with all the cool and practical features of Melda plugins it's not easy to imagine that there's no quick way to copy all that's contained under the note D to note E in one quick step.
The same goes for that matter within a note. For instance if I want to double the number of existing bars in D with their notes, is there a way to quickly do that without having to do manual copies ?

Yes, the copy/paste method is fiddly...in the destination you have to place the cursor where you want the first note of the copied pattern to start...easy enough when notes (and therefore cursor) are quantized.
A better way perhaps is to use save/load loop....the same number of bars will appear, the cursor position doesn't matter, quantized or not doesn't matter. If you don't intend to actually permanently save the loop just save it to say root in the directory then delete it later.

Yes, it's a bit fiddly indeed. Though I found I use it so little, that eventually I didn't care

I might be very limited in my drum pattern approach, but I find that copying patterns is essential. For instance, to add variations to an already built pattern or series of patterns. Copying manually 6 times a series of patterns on 6 different keys just to try things out is a bit discouraging, not to mention getting pretty much away from the focus of music. At the moment I do not see any other other to try out variations.

Copy and Paste for bars would be very useful! I suspect many users would utilize copy/paste, as these would provide an additional way to create variations of a pattern or a beat - in a quick & simple way.
I also propose: Something like a "busy" slider for a horizontal row, which adds or subtracts notes to a bar, and maybe also a "bias" dial, which would weight the addition extra notes earlier, or later in a measure.
I have several paid (and free) drum V.I.'s, and I'm impressed by most of them. It's a very competitive and demanding field! But, copy and paste seem like low-hanging fruit, given how advanced MDrummer already is.

I agree copying and pasting bars is very useful. I use it with hiphop because I prefer writing everything by hand without using the generator. The copy and paste would save a lot of time when making variations. For rock stuff I use it to create variations of the same rhythms, so the same exact thing isn’t playing over and over.
