How to get a USB microphone set up properly

ok, yes, adding Dexed to 4 does play the notes. I was confused I think by the fact that I couldn't get it to record the notes to midi unless that was on a different track.
Worked out that I need to be using the grooves part of the drum vst to get an editable grid in there. That's much better than trying to play and record loops with a mouse, you're right.
