i am so glad waveform made a drum sampler, but for the life of me i find it difficult to grasp. i generally use reason 10 and mixcraft 8, and both are easy to use in sequencing drums and beats. could someone explain how to use this sampler for me? or direct me to tutorials that will teach me? i want to make waveform my main daw, but the multi sampler and now drum sampler are above me!

I'm sure a tutorial will be released once the stable version is. No sense in making a tutorial while it's still in beta.

Also, have you seen the tutorial vids for the multi-sampler on Tracktion's YouTube channel? They helped me a lot.

i have, and i'm still clueless. i guess i'm used to drum machines, not samplers. when i load samples into the drum sampler and open up the step sequencer it's to figure out the grid pattern for me. guess i'll use reason's drum machines and export into waveform.

Drum machines are just samplers.carllackey wrote: Wed Jun 19, 2019 1:13 pm i have, and i'm still clueless. i guess i'm used to drum machines, not samplers. when i load samples into the drum sampler and open up the step sequencer it's to figure out the grid pattern for me. guess i'll use reason's drum machines and export into waveform.
The new Drum sampler works much in the same way Kong works in Reason. Drag and Drop your drum sounds (samples) onto the corresponding pad. Bam done. To sequence them make a new step clip on the track you have Drum Sampler on and it will display the names of the pads you loaded sounds onto.
Also, there is no reason you need to export from Reason... you can use Rewire to run Reason along side Waveform.

Or rewire reason into Waveform, do your drums in reason, and mix in Waveform. So the drums appear as one (or more) tracks in Waveform, and any changes in reason happen immediately.carllackey wrote: Wed Jun 19, 2019 1:13 pm i have, and i'm still clueless. i guess i'm used to drum machines, not samplers. when i load samples into the drum sampler and open up the step sequencer it's to figure out the grid pattern for me. guess i'll use reason's drum machines and export into waveform.

Well, that'll teach me to reply before reading the whole thread. Actually, it probably won't

thanks guys! my problem is sizing the step sequencer so i cab see the grids better. i need to practice more in waveform i guess! p.s. i really don't use kong except to load some drum presets. and their new drum sequencer has made an older guy be able to finally sequence drums!

one other question. i figured out most everything, but i notice the names by the step sequencer don't match where i put the samples. for example i drag a snare into the drum sampler and a clap, the step sequencer doesn't match up,
