OCTAMORPH FE https://www.audiority.com/shop/octamorph-fe/
Polygon https://glitchmachines.com/products/polygon/
Or other ...

Can One use their their own samples Xosphere 2?
If you're going to start comparing stuff rather than just buying it, I don't know why you are here! :o

I just picked up Xosphere 2 and only have Octomorph. I'm probably not the one to answer this as I tend to find these a little noisy more than usable. But I'm trying to learn new things. I think I bought Octamorph because you were supposed to be able to use your own samples, and maybe you still can, but it wasn't an easy import samples thing, if I remember correctly. You had to go under the hood and switch out samples that were already there. Which technically you can do with any Kontakt instrument that doesn't have locked samples. But I ended up not using it much after I got Celestia and the lovely Sonic Forest and Sonic Ocean from ISW. But they are a totally different sound.

I believe that is is wise to get some opinions from the knowledgeable here and check out the alternatives.

Thanks for your Comments on Octomorph.

I'm hesitant to mention it because there are certainly people for whom the current $9.99 deal will work better. I guess just keep in mind that there's a chance it'll be $9.99 wasted.

FWIW, iZotope offered to let us sell Elements for cheap this month and I decided not to do it because I knew there would be many unhappy customers once the Friday deal gets announced.

LOL! Yeah I always ask too. I just realized my totally different sound might be confusing. The ISW ones are a different sound. I actually think Octomorph and Xosphere may be very similar in the sounds you can get out of them. Though I think Xosphere has more built in sounds and presets. If you can get it for $59, it's probably a better deal than Octomorph. On the other hand, if you don't mind fussing under the hood and like to make your own sounds, Octomorph might be better. Though maybe someone knows if you can change out sounds on Xosphere also?

Any other vendors have Xosphere 2 on sale with extra discount, or is the $60 deal the best?

Or maybe a free online version, like Auphonic?

RX8 is very unlikely. RX7 just came out a couple of months ago. Since it apparently makes RX Elements obsolete my bet would be a bundle of some sort.

My hope is for Music Production Suite 2.2, should work out about a grand per integer upgrade.

I use Auphonic for work, the multiple channel automatic gating is a godsend for podcast recordings with multiple people sitting in a poorly treated room.

The sale for the DS-2500 (for Kontakt) ends in 2 days:

https://www.kontakthub.com/product/ds-2 ... akt-synth/

Has anyone here bought it? Thoughts? Worth the £20? I really like the sound of the demos on the web.

Excellent library but that is no wonder as Castle Instruments is a collaboration between Divergent Audio Group and Synth Magic. :tu:

Ryan99 wrote: Wed Jun 19, 2019 2:07 am The new Output product released Portal today, which can be use on any VST or samples. It's not on sale, but since I own the Output bundle, I could get it at a discount. I guess that if I wait for the next Output sale, I suppose I could get it for an even lower price.
The video has some really cool stuff going on. Is it actually better than other granular plugins or is that just Output's superior skill at making demos?
I wonder how this will stack against Melda's Multiband Granular Synth? Output's UI looks so "eyecandy-ish." Omnisphere has been good to me though, stacked with Adaptiverb for some really breathtaking and ethereal pads; however, at the cost of clock cycles...
Intrigued by this. the demos are slick and i've found Output's stuff to be very quick to move from experimenting with sounds to actual composition.

It looks like Portal is now included in the "everything" bundle, but I'm not sure they raised the price of the "everything" deal. I'm not surprised I'd need to pay to pick up output (99 vs 149) but was hoping for a freebie, haha (i just upgraded to the everything bundle in their last big sale).
