In the Delay control the outer ring, along with the knob, is part of the Background So if one is coloured, so is the other. I could make that outer ring even darker so the tinting would be less obvious.
In the Reverb, the Arc is the element that is coloured, not the Background. So its outer ring stays grey.
What did you mean by "different shades"? I deliberately picked different colours for the 2 knobs in the Delay.
Also, if Colourization is turned off in Settings, what colour should the Delay knobs / Reverb arcs be? The Styles "Highlights" colour for both? Or, light grey (the underlying colour that I've used, so that tinting gets close to the selected colour)?

Different shades.
I mean the buttons and selector are different from the knobs and enable switch.
They would look better the same.
And if colourization is turned of, I would want both the delay knob and the reverb ring to follow the highlight colour, yes.

I still prefer the first much simpler design of the reverb knobs without the knob. I love me knobs simpleDarkStar wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 12:58 pm Thank you guys. Here's my second go:
-- two different types of knobs (Delay is in a "Control", Reverb is in as "Panel",
-- with a line pointer normally, or a circular indent when clicked / dragged,
-- light grey, italicised titles (NB they cannot be centralised as then they could clash with the caption buttons).
There's a buglet, I think. I have asked Vojech about it.

loads better - I'm indifferent about the dot-when-moving mechanic. Don't love or hate it, but the other improvements are great, I think. Well done.DarkStar wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 12:58 pm Thank you guys. Here's my second go:

I can get some of them closer, but some are a problem. It might be possible by selecting different colours for the different multiparameters. Here they are with "Enable colourisation" Off and On (blue is the Highlights colour):jmg8 wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 1:41 pm Different shades.

I cannot find a way to get the slider colours more distinct.

OK, good work. One more thing though... hehe.
The contrast on the sliders is not enough.
Or in other words it is difficult to see the fill area.
Is it possible to do what you did with the delay knobs and darken the unhigligted area?

That's why I said "I cannot find a way to get the slider colours more distinct.".
I'll carry on looking later.

Looks good to me. The red is a bad example as it almost makes the text too hard to read. It will look better with less saturated colours. But that is not really anything to do with the style, rather the device designer. But I prefer the colours being a closer match to each other.

I like the reverb Knobs far better than the delay knobs but what i don't like at all is that the lines change to dots when the knob is clicked, makes no sense at all for me and is distracting

+1 Reverb Knobs are looking great! + 1 Don't like the dot while moving knob.rlared wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 3:31 amAgreed, badass reverb knobsgoldglob wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 1:22 amDarkstar, those Reverb knobs are perfect.DarkStar wrote: Sat Jun 22, 2019 1:21 pmThe latter, you can always contact Vojtech on the web site to ask to join.rasmusklump wrote: Sat Jun 22, 2019 12:30 pm Is the beta with the new knobs available for everyone or just a circle of beta testers ?
First attempt at new, new knobs:
@ Style designers, please note that you can now have different knobs in Panels, Controls and Displays. Go get the latest Style Editor.
The more I look at the picture in the section I quoted, the more I like the contrast between the Delay knobs and the Reverb knobs.
If less is more, imagine how much more MORE will be.

Not a fan of the circular indent when clicked, but otherwise I like the 'Panel' style.DarkStar wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 12:58 pm Thank you guys. Here's my second go:

The more I look at this the more I am thinking that the contrast in the sliders is a problem.DarkStar wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 2:41 pm

It is nice that the colour matches, but it looked better before.
I can't understand why knobs and buttons should have 2 different colours when the user sets the same colour for both in the colour picker, seems odd, right?
So is this a limitation in the style editor then? So it would affect any/every style?

Well, it's certainly a limitation of me using the Style Editor
Anyway, I got closer but it required several hacks and moves away from the Neon ethos. And it messes up the appearance in the Display sections (see Enhancer below). Also in the screenshot, you can see
-- the three different knob styles,
-- the appearance of the central position for EQ/Treble - no arc but the line shows the position,
-- the appearance of the Reverb / Widening - its "origin" (0%) is at about 10 o'clock, so the arc starts there.

PS
1 There can be 3 different "Big" knobs too. So you could have 6 in all.
2 Getting all the parameter to be the same colour may well be possible if starting a style form scratch.
