This is just a quick video showing how you can use MXXX to trigger samples and the add fx to them to create some unique percussion sounds.

Too cool! Thanks!

I think it's time for you to re-evaluate your Life's Purpose, Sir. What else are you doing that could possibly be as useful to Mankind as producing MORE of these Melda Jaw-droppers, more often?

With great gifts comes great responsibility.

Thanks. I wish I had more time to produce more videos. I've been trying to do more this year, but unfortunately time is limited and getting 1 out a week is sometimes a struggle. Hopefully later this year I'll get a new computer and smartphone and then I'll be able to put out more content.

This is great. Is it possible to start a modulator wave at the same time as the DAW transport ? At the moment even with the transport at 0 and a sync of 4 bars, when the transport starts the modulator wave will just about start where it was, not at the beginning of the modulator wave shape.

Thus if I have a simple square wave as a 2nd modulator to enable modulator 1 (trigger, as per the example in the video) and I arrange it so that it makes sense musically, stopping and restarting the DAW can see the mod 2 wave starting at any point and not as intended for the beat.

I hope I explained it correctly. The modulator waveforms are free running as I see them now.

Cheers.

I'd like to bump the question above. Is there a way to synchronize the modulation waves to that when incorporated into a piece they always have the same effect at the right time ? So far I've seen that they are not in sync with the DAW transport - is there a way to make them so ?

I thought they were in sync with the DAW transport. I’ve never noticed them being out of sync.
