MNotepad does not have a text export function. The export button in the preset selection is seemingly about folders, not individual files.
It can be useful to have a file export function to export in plain text the contents of MNotepad.
By the same token, I wonder why a 'folder export' would be such an important thing.

Right_click in the text area.
As for folder export - maybe you have saved several sets of notes as presets into a single folder. And it's the same functionality as in the other Preset Browsers.

I'm afraid I do not see any "file save as ..." or anything resembling that functionality in the context menu (version 13.03b) :

Select all, then Copy, then paste it into a .txt or MS Word or .... document.

No, that does not work, as I've mentioned in the other thread about ADSR. Here each single plugin runs in its very own address space because they need to have a Windows bridge layer in order to work within Bitwig Linux. A process space being a process space, there's no sharing of a common memory pool between the two, and if there's any communication protocol used within the Melda plugins (maybe 0MQ style for instance), it is not observed. At least that's not yet supported by the linvst adapter.
And there's no MS Word in sight, but that's very well OK. I wouldn't care less.
Still, a file export could be useful. Perhaps more than a folder export, don't know.

Copy/paste works very well and is much simpler than on Windows/Mac. No need to touch the keyboard at all with ctrl-c, ctrl-v, just use the mouse.
The Adapter for running Windows VST is running each VST in its own process space. Your copy function will copy to that process space, to be picked up by another process but, there's nobody else in that process space.
And quite certainly there is no communication protocol that the Melda plugins are using, such as an embedded ZeroMQ for instance, or RabbitMQ to communicate between Melda instances, that would be able to cross the process space. Like TCP/IP does for instance.
On the other hand, it does accept data from the outside so it's possible to paste patches. It might be a limitation of the Adapter at the moment.
Linux users are nothing in the balance, of course. What's my $1000+ spent at Melda when compared to the hundreds, thousands of others ? Nothing. But then on the other side it's still $1000+.
