I wasn’t being clear re: modulation sequences.

I am currently possessed by a Microfreak demon, and enjoy using the four “tracks” available in the sequencer usable to record knob movements (like on Ye Olde JP-8000, but different).

Just wondering whether the MX has same. Fine if not, I can just tweeze it with the Microfreak.

Yeah but in a DAW you can just use whatever tools your DAW is providing you for that.
Don't get me wrong, I can see some added benefit in having it inside the instrument, but I guess the workaround is acceptable. Or maybe it's just my way of working
anyway, MX has three lanes, but no way that I can see to record live movements (probably because of aliasing )

Ya, that’s perfectly acceptable, was just curious; and yes, in a DAW there are a million ways to sequence and automate, no need to reinvent the wheel there.
