Someone (I think it was Zerocrossing) brought up a good point a few pages back. That, most likely, decisions had to made as time ran out. The stuff that seems most unfinished is the stuff that can be updated without effecting the sound. You don't want a patch to sound different after an update. But they can fix the ui, browser, even add another filter while keeping total backwards compatibility. I thought that was a smart take.SLiC wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:20 am I can temporarily live with just about all of the many shortcomings aside from not being able to tag favourites….I am writing them down on a post it...I remember doing that with hardware synths 20 years ago!
MX is not even close to finished, but there are some really good patches showing what it is capable of, I look forward to the updates.

No problem.
I would certainly welcome this, even if that meant more cpu consumption.
I expect some polish here and there. There is enough social pressure to tackle those static envelopes.
But to fix the UI, they would have to redo it completely, and I don't see this happening.
Like the tiny wavetable scopes and overly cluttered feel. Nah, we are stuck with that.
The sound possibilities are vast and the UI... we'll just have to take it as it is.

How it is that I and many others are able to make music, leads, pads and... Kicks in MX and you're one poor soul that is unable to do because... Instead of making anything you just observe analyzers all day long?
Usually people use instruments to make music but guys like you use them to argue with internet hoping that everyone will tell you "oh dude, you're right my master"! This is what you want?
Stop whining and make some damn music instead.

It could be no.1 on Billboard Top100 if he didn't waste his time trying to prove to internet MX faults

Love the sound of this, feel like Photone, Monark and Carbon had a baby
Agree with most people that the UI and general Usability is very, very rough.. But the sound engine, and stability are great so far
I haven't figured out yet how I can pan the Noise Oscillator individually from the Main OSCs - can somebody help me out here?

Edit; would be neat if they added panning to the noise gens, or to the Utility

No. For some reason they think panning osc's and noise gens isn't necessarySymetry wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 11:48 amexmatproton wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 11:47 amYou can'tSymetry wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 11:41 am

that's too bad, I though there would be a module I'm overseeing that allows panning at least

All you do is repeat your own agenda ,do you even read the replies ??
Good for you that the majority of your followers are people that don't know any better and you earn them bloody likes and clicks
But seriously , you are making a complete fool out of yourself , a severe case of the dunning kruger effect in motion

Boy, am I glad I use my ears and a sense of fun when judging an instrument is it for me.. as opposed to youtube videos, company reputations, feature lists, spec sheets, spectrum analyzers... or comments on the internet about those. Loving this so far..
Is the manual out yet?

Bottom line for me is; there are a plethora of sound and modulation sources, which I haven't seen laid out in a VSTi in this way apart from it's parent synth Massive.
It has everything covered from delicate sounds to monster sounds and everything in between.
And, just like the early day's of NI's family of VST Absynth, FM8 and Massive it's deep operation remains a little bit of a challenge and mystery.
I thought that covered the overall modern musicians requirements pretty darn well.
But I must be mistaken.

Ears? Ears are outdated. You should use your eyes and analyzers only. This is the way to try new tools and to make music these dayslwj wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 12:36 pm Boy, am I glad I use my ears and a sense of fun when judging an instrument is it for me.. as opposed to youtube videos, company reputations, feature lists, spec sheets, spectrum analyzers... or comments on the internet about those.
