Get name of clip

With the Javascript API it is not possible to get the name of the selected ARRANGEMENT clip. (can only set it).

Is this possible with the Java API?

No. This whole slot / clip difference is one of the weirdnesses of the API. Since you can only get the name via the slot (which is not available for the arranger) it is not possible...

damn... was looking deep into this. Is it true that you can only get a name from a clip launcher slot bank... but not set it?

seems like clip_slot.name() only implements
StringValue Interface Reference instead of SettAbleStringValue...

Yet this seems like its possible to set via clip cursor...

The goal for me is to store some controller info in some clips to recall on launch... I'm still looking into this... there has to be a way!
