Didn't do that to mine. Maybe you should see if you can figure out why it's doing it?collider wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:54 pm I'm not interested in Massive X because I don't want to work with a plug-in that makes my Macbook fan run all the time. Seriously.

exactly. make sure apps aren't set to re-open on restart, then...restart. only open your DAW. try to work, see if it still happens; and what macbook, what year? ram, processor?Forgotten wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 11:08 pmDidn't do that to mine. Didn’t do that to mine, mid 2012 MacBook, with the caveat that I did a complete OS reinstall on a new hard drive.fisherKing wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 11:14 pmexactly. make sure apps aren't set to re-open on restart, then...restart. only open your DAW. try to work, see if it still happens; and what macbook, what year? ram, processor?Forgotten wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 11:08 pmDidn't do that to mine. Macbook guy here. When I first loaded MX I smelled metal heating before the fans came on. It was like... did my wife leave the iron plugged in?collider wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:54 pm I'm not interested in Massive X because I don't want to work with a plug-in that makes my Macbook fan run all the time. I've found that there are ways to tone it down a little. One, don't display the GUI, just load it in a DAW channel minimized. Two, open your DAW in low res mode so it's not using retina resolution. This will force low res in Massive X. Three, make the Massive X GUI 50% size. I don't think the NI guys have totally aced optimizing retina graphics on Mac. Kontakt, Maschine and Reaktor are still standard resolution on Mac. Massive X might be their first retina product.

I have the same issue with my MBP. The Only ways I found to make the fans quieter are to close the GUI or to resize it under 100%.collider wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:54 pm I'm not interested in Massive X because I don't want to work with a plug-in that makes my Macbook fan run all the time. I think Native Instruments is the only entity that can properly report that video to YouTube.neodeavid wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 12:01 am Can anyone report the video where put massive x for free, not delete my post -_-

I don't think that this is limited to just mosquitoes.Last week, a team of scientists published a very important study in the Acta Tropica journal under the title: “The electronic song "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" reduces host attack and mating success in the dengue vector Aedes aegypti.” The thrust of the paper, in short, is that mosquitoes appear to suck less blood and have less sex while Skrillex is playing.
