I am looking forward to see what will unfold with PA. Maybe previously UAD-only plugins like with the Engl? Who will be the new companies, and will that change quality?
I like some of their plugins, and I hope this change will be beneficial for us and for them both.

Why all the negativity and bashing? All of their software is offered for sale at some stage. If you don't like it don't buy it. Simples.
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Ya got me. Seems people want consistently high prices or they're not happy (?) I now have all the PA stuff I wanted, and am very happy about it. Looking forward to LION.

Nonsense - "they" (i.e. Dirk) reduced many of their plugins' prices significantly.kmonkey wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 3:29 amYea that's their Spin. Visit our website, we have new prices.Vortifex wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 9:11 pm I checked the site and couldn't see any of those lower prices mentioned in the email.
Then you do that and they make you look like an idiot. So now they will have excuse to SPAM you yet another time and tell you that idiotic starting line "oops something went wrong, please check our website yet again" and you will see supposedly new prices which will be what? 3% lower?

stuck in studios in this heat is no fun.
throw in a few old analogue synths and a sealed room.
the pressure has to be released somewhere.

Haven't received this email yet so thanks for the share, maybe still rolling out the emails to everyone before setting the new lower prices?
Although I was having some issues with getting emails in the same way others have mentioned - customer support can sort this for you guys if the new system doesn't do it all automatically...
If I were them I would build all the deals and buy now features right into the installer and eliminate the website/email requirements. Price wise I'd maybe knock 33-50% off everything on the old prices to encourage more new users to just buy what's in the shop/installer straight after an extended 30 day demo.

But I bought Townhouse for $29 in the sale and it's currently listed at £299, so your strategy doesn't really workwhannel wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 12:54 pmPrice wise I'd maybe knock 33-50% off everything on the old prices to encourage more new users to just buy what's in the shop/installer straight after an extended 30 day demo.

the "bashing" is mostly because we want to buy stuff, and the announcement promised to get rid of insane pricing, but instead was not even a half-measure. PA advertised their new prices as "now you'll be able to buy our stuff not just on sales", and the post-announcement prices are still nowhere near the sale prices. the prices are lower, sure, but they're still geared towards vouchers + sales. reducing a $299 plugin to $199 when it can be had for $29 on sale seems kinda silly, don't you think? or do you consider any criticism or voicing of opinion as bashing?ramseysounds wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 12:16 pm Why all the negativity and bashing? It was announced yesterday and people expect instant results. Jeez, give them a chance.Burillo wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 1:31 pmthe "bashing" is mostly because we want to buy stuff, and the announcement promised to get rid of insane pricing, but instead was not even a half-measure. instant results of what? they announced the new prices yesterday. these are the new prices we're talking about. they're not "still updating" them, they have already released the new pricing structure. so, what is this "chance" we have to give them that you are speaking of?ramseysounds wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 2:56 pmIt was announced yesterday and people expect instant results.
