A long time ago, before Waves started the constant sale tactic, I bought both the SSL bundle and the API bundle for about $300 each... but I think that was a product of my naivety at the time, I think I just thought they must be awesome products because of the prices :dog: , I still use them, but really I could get by with anything these days, it's not what you use, it's your knowledge and skills.

At the end of the day, in the current climate I think all the bases are covered with cheap or even free plugins, companies just need to get with the times and realize $30 plugins are the way of the future. :phones:
Ain't that the truth. 12+ years been doing this and only now I've come to realize you don't need expensive plugins to make good music. Not sure why it took me so long to come to that truth. They are good liars.

It's not naivety, it's what shit cost back in those days and I guarantee you they were both on sale. Stuff is just cheaper these days mostly.

It looks like the VSM-3 is going for $149 retail, not $299. Hmmm.

Anyway, about that conversation earlier about Transferred Spectrasonics licenses not being entitled to the same discount prices on major version upgrades. I email Spectrasonics about this earlier and they emailed me back saying:
"Transferred licenses are eligible for the same discount as a retail purchased instrument in regards to upgrades."
Yet, on their website they state: "All license-transferred Spectrasonics Instruments are eligible for both upgrades and updates, but not necessarily all the same special upgrade pricing offers for new versions. Please note that purchasing an instrument new from an authorized Spectrasonics dealer is the only way to retain the complete access to all of our special upgrade offers."

The wave-particle duality in Quantum Mechanics makes more sense than this. If I analyze the sentence structure, I could devise a deeper meaning and different understanding but...c'mon now.

So sounds more and more like it’s gonna be sub time.

Let me give you the Good News for all ACTIVE PickPackers first:

If your PickPack plan was cancelled by us today - and we have cancelled ALL active plans a few minutes ago - you now OWN all 10 plugins you originally selected in your Pick Pack. Full and unlimited licenses. This one is on us!

No further payments will be deducted from your credit card or PayPal, even if you have just started PickPack recently. Whatever the remaining balance for your PickPack plan would have been, this is our gift to you.

Please note:
If YOU have cancelled your Pick Pack in the past (or stopped paying, which is technically the same), you will unfortunately NOT get your 10 plugins as full licenses. We hope you understand.

Now, why did we stop PickPacking?

Something bigger, more flexible and ultimately better is coming July 15th! A few days ago we have already started to improve the Dynamic Discounts for those of you who love to simply buy plugins, and we have lowered many plugin prices recently as well. So buying plugins will be more affordable in between promotions from now on. Buy 6 plugins, get 60% off any day of the week, for example.

Then - and this will be the main news next week! - we are about to launch a totally new system, which will enable each and everyone of you out there to use large numbers of our titles at really affordable pricing!

We are sure you have seen some of the NEW plugins we are releasing July 15th. Lots of new brands, and a total of 14 new plugins to be released in July and August.

We have seen many of you commenting on social media, worrying about how you will be able to access all of these plugins without breaking the bank. Don't worry, we've got you.

We will present you with the Deal Of Your Lifetime next week!

Over time, our portfolio has grown to 100+ plugins from 28 brands, and we are determined to make ALL of them available to as many people as possible, and as fair and affordable as possible, of course.

Please stay tuned!

I don't know how people sleep at night. Corruption from the top to the bottom. Everywhere. Little children are brought up to be corrupt. Generation after generation increasing corruption. The total and complete annihilation of integrity is almost complete.

Human beings are animals. They have returned to having nothing inside. Empty.
er... whatever man. Sorry for you!

I just don't know what any of this has got to do with this thread. :?

Indeed. Example of a great company. I'm pleased for those jammy bastards.

Yes, absolutely! Wish I was one of those lucky bastards!

Pick-a-Pack discontinued...and just like that, the hand of God giveth life, and taketh away. Congrats to all of you. I hope none of those licenses are NFR. That would be quite unfortunate.
