i quite often fill pretty much every available modulation point on the modular.McLilith wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 5:48 pmAs an example, the Hammond B3 Organ has 20 simultaneously active drawbars, when not using the presets. Many players will manipulate those 20 drawbars individually during a live performance. It also has a swell pedal, a vibrato / chorus control, and usually a Leslie speed control. (We'll ignore some of the less common options on some Hammond models, such as reverb, reiteration controls, etc.)EvilDragon wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 3:07 pmI really don't recall any instrument where I had to automate more than 16 parameters of a single patch in a project, ever. Do you know of anyone (apart from, maybe, BT)?
So, that's 23 controls that are often manipulated during a live performance. A Hammond VST should ideally allow for all those to be automated individually and simultaneously. As for synth players, I'm not sure how often they might use more than 16 simultaneous "channels" of automation. It's probably not very often at all.
Yes, I'm possibly nitpicking. I just can't help myself. You might say, it's my calling in life.![]()
never counted but it's more than 16
but not every synth requires that level of wibble, eg on monark i may do 2 or 3.
it depends on the patches place in the project.

I'd add no parameter automation and midi learnexmatproton wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 6:05 pmwell,,that + value readouts. Those 2 are quite major problems (imo)EvilDragon wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 6:01 pm No you're right, favoriting presets is definitely missing, and resaving as user preset is the workaround that's possible currently. Browser should probably be one of the first things to get some attention.

Bollocks /ˈbɒləks/ is a word of Middle English origin, meaning "testicles". The word is often used figuratively in colloquial British English and Hiberno-English as a noun to mean "nonsense", an expletive following a minor accident or misfortune, or an adjective to mean "poor quality" or "useless". Similarly, common phrases like "Bollocks to this!" and "That's a load of old bollocks" generally indicate contempt for a certain task, subject or opinion. Conversely, the word also figures in idiomatic phrases such as "the dog's bollocks" or more simply "the bollocks" (as opposed to just "bollocks"), which will refer to something which is admired, approved of or well-respected.vurt wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 7:41 pmi did not say that was her.
