Hello, I would like to know how easy or possible it is to assign Replicant controllers to a Midi controller (e.g. Akai LP8 buttons & pads) in a (Cubase) VST environment. Thx for your lights !

Cubase sucks when it comes to plugin control, and I don't think Replicant has an independent MIDI learn. So you can use Cubase's 8 Quick Controls and assign all 8 to Replicant, but outside of owning some very specific hardware, you're not going to have a great experience controlling Replicant in Cubase.Boomshala wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 2:03 pm Hello, I would like to know how easy or possible it is to assign Replicant controllers to a Midi controller (e.g. Akai LP8 buttons & pads) in a (Cubase) VST environment. On the other hand, Studio One allows you to control ALL automatable plugin parameters via any MIDI hardware (called Control Link). The single biggest advantage of S1 over Cubase IMO. Not trying to sell anyone on Studio One, just want to shame Steinberg into improving Cubase.

I have the iOS version (along with most of the other Audio Damage AUv3's). It's amazing for taking something pretty ordinary and creating something pretty amazing

Hello Funkybot, YES Cubase is not easy when it comes to assigning controls to VST. This also depends on the VST as well. I noticed Native Instruments VST parameters are relatively easy to assign (click + learn). Thx for the suggestion. Beyond that, my question was also to know if Repicant can only be controlled via the 8 manual buttons or is any parameter could be assigned and controlled. ,)Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 2:13 pmCubase sucks when it comes to plugin control, and I don't think Replicant has an independent MIDI learn. I've never seen a forum quite like this one with this level of necro bumps. It's amazing.
And it's interesting to see how long some of these companies have been around.

I'd MUCH prefer an old thread get brought back from the dead than having a new thread every few months. Means the poster who revived it actually went searching first!Tappistry wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 7:37 pmI've never seen a forum quite like this one with this level of necro bumps. It's amazing.

I agree we don't need a thread about the same plugin monthly. But I think there can definitely be a statute of limitations on once a particular plugin thread is say, a year old, you're safe to start a new discussion.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 7:42 pmI'd MUCH prefer an old thread get brought back from the dead than having a new thread every few months. Meanwhile, in the Instruments forum, it looks like there are three threads on the first page related to Massive X.

I don’t see the issue with bumps like this. If they didn’t we’d be crucifying them for not using the search engine.Tappistry wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 7:37 pmI've never seen a forum quite like this one with this level of necro bumps. It's amazing.
