Right-clicking a node in the performer removes the curve completely, making it a square step. Hello, sequencer!
Of course, you can use the step tool as well (2nd row, 2nd button in Edit section to the left of performer).

That guy seems up for a rather in-depth series of videos :

Now i could finally play a bit with Massive X and so far i really like it a lot. The only thing i really miss is visual feedback but maybe it is better as it is since it already makes my macbook pro hot enough. But the cpu usage is really good so far and i can run several layered instances on my late 2013 macbook pro 15" (but i´m using 512 buffer mostly).
Otherwise i like what i hear and i think it is a wonderful synth for soundscapes, pads and excellent FX.
It also really has a nice but still clear bottom end.
So far it is something between digital and analog for me and sits well between my beloved P900 (the filters and saturation are still much better here for me than everything else) and synths like Alchemy f.e. which sounds great but more on the digital harsher side (but for pads it is the best thing ever for me).
As usual it´s all personal and so far i find Massive X really very good and i´m happy i upgraded to Komplete 12 (from 11) for just a bit under €90.
So i will focus on using it instead of searching for something to complain about...i must getting old
There are actually a tons more software bugs in new cars than any plug-in i own...lol.
So we have to learn to live with these things.

What type of visual feedback is it that people are clamoring for? As far as I'm concerned the only thing needed is envelopes that adjust to settings, but it would have to be unaffected by active modulation. I don't want to look at wibbly-wobbly drunk envelopes.

I assume people want to see the saturn rings move according to the modulation source, which is kind of a tough ask since it breaks down with audio-rate modulations anyways... Similar for wavetable waveform display...

I'm partial to drunk envelopes. Also, the ability to define the the slopes of each segment with your mouse as you can in the original Massive. And the ability to modify the curve/shape of each slope with your mouse as you can in Serum. Its quicker and more intuitive like that. Anything to keep the creative in the moment.loungepanda wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2019 9:29 am What type of visual feedback is it that people are clamoring for? More seriously, I would like a little cartoon rabbit to pop up from behind the interface, blink and then burp at random intervals as I write music.
Moving saturn rings would be nice. but, meh ....

Thinking of getting Massive x, but a bit concerned about cpu consumption as there are conflicting reports. Would be really useful to know how it compares with-say the- the original (which I have ). Any thoughts from all you guys who have both?
Thanks

In my test, I did 64 voices with very long amp env release times, with OG Massive set to Ultra quality, and MX doing all sorts of audio rate stuff and feedback etc... They were about the same, maybe the old Massive actually used a little bit more CPU, in fact.
What's your CPU?

You should be fine with 4770. Not sure if you can OC it some, but at least make sure it has all-core curbo to 3.9 GHz all the time.

Did I get it correctly that NI now use Qt as Framework for the GUI in Massive X?
I have to say Massive X has the by far longest loading time of any VST3 plugin on my machine when opening the plugin gui. The window stays white for 2-3 seconds before the whole Interface shows up.
Hope they find some ways to improve it

Yes, Qt is used for UI stuff. Just like it was used for Dirt/Mod Pack, Replika, Supercharger, etc. All the more recent stuff.
Also MX is not a VST3 plugin. GUI shows immediately here, no whiteness - could be a graphics driver issue.
