But you got to be honest, I quickly listened to your advice and grew some balls.

I said you need to grow a pair and learn to take criticism. If that offends you, I'm sorry but it's the truth. You're like a damn child.

Now please, just go away already.

So I've ventured into the Wagtunes corner...
Just listened to (Don't Wanna Be) Another Autotune.
Like most on here I agree this is a great little track. The arrangement and placement of instruments sound very nice on my monitors. The mix is solid and clear. It's an interesting little piece and kinda reminded me of a tv program i'd watch when I was younger.I can't place it now though :ud:
If I had to moan about something the vocals are a tad loud but that could be me and my set up.
Great work though :tu:

Thanks for the listen and the feedback Jethro. The vocals could be a little loud. I'm often criticized that they're too buried so I tried to bring them more up front on this one. It's possible I brought them too much up front. Mixing is always a balancing act and one I'm still working on.

12th track from my upcoming CD "Still Out Of Sync"

Super Mom

She gets the kids up in the morning
Gets them ready for school
Feeds them a good breakfast
Everything's real cool

She goes to work to earn a living
Has a boss who's a creep
But she has to pay the mortgage
So her job she must keep

She's super mom, super mom
Does the best that she can
She's super mom, super mom
Does it without a man

She picks the kids up in the afternoon
Takes them home for a meal
Sees that they do their homework
She keeps it real

Repeat Chorus

Instrumental Break

Repeat Chorus

Fade Out

Super Mom
This is as remote from my usual listening as it gets, but suddenly I really liked it. The main melody resonated with me in some strange way.

Actually it reminded me of some of Russian rock bands which I'm sure you never heard of, but probably they got their inspiration from the same sources as you.

As for he production/mix I'm pretty clueless about anything rock but all sounds good to me, including the signing.

Yeah, this is actually pretty different for me too. The vocals are almost unprocessed. Just a little EQ, Compression, Reverb and Delay on the lead. The arrangement is also pretty stripped down for me.

Anyway, thanks for the listen and the feedback and glad you liked it.

I listened to "Super Mom" which has a nice melody and clear production. The chorus vocals and harmonies are especially good.

I understand the song is about a hard-working mom but the lyrics don't give me a reason to care about her.

Good job overall. :tu:

I feel for you Wagtunes.
For several months they beg you to use your own voice instead of vocaloid.
Now you get shit for it.
That's the ungreatful world...

Hey Wagtunes,

Supermom is one of your best mixes so far, Voice is clear, backing voice effect works good and the arrangement is well separated, got good dynamics and no muddles job well done

Thanks, but I've stopped caring. Took almost 5 years of being in this nut house but I've finally put the trolls on ignore and post my music for whoever wants to listen to it. I am finally in a good place here.

Yeah, the lyrics don't really go into any depth. Didn't want to turn this into a Dylan story book. Glad you liked the rest of the song though. I had fun doing it.

Yeah, Warren Huart has really helped me a ton with my mixes. Watch his channel almost everyday. I recommend him to anybody just starting out.

Just listened to Super Mom too. I do actually listen to your songs, but never have any specific critiques, so just stay quite... having said that, I thought I'd just chime in to agree with what others are saying; You've got a nice clear, up-front mix going on there compared to your usual stuff... not that I think your usual stuff sounds "bad", to me your previous stuff normally just has some of the qualities of older recordings, like it's from the '70s or something (not talking about the song writing, just the overall sound of the mix)... and there isn't necessarily anything wrong with that!

As for the music, it's cool, kind of feels like Santana's radio stuff. :tu:
