For the rest , pretty damn impressive , this is the closest it can get to my trusty nord modular g1 and I alreay have reaktor
But I really don't need another daw , or do I ..
I was with Live from 4 - 9 (suite), I have never sold it...but wasnt tempted with the 10 upgrade either and to be honest I cant remember the last time I used it....I don't miss anything and can't go back(to used top in clip editing, pop up browser, unified modulation etc), but weirdly I still have soft spot for Ableton, we were together for a long time!rob_lee wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:46 pmSLiC wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:43 pmThen don't do the yearly update thing....its optional! And of course Image Line listen to their costumers, what are you even talking about?
And by the way one of the big reason that I like Image Line is the prove of their generosity, bringing nice updates without asking me absurd quantity of money and offering affordable options.
That is the problem with bitwig, I don't see generosity in $170 for updates a year, in fact, there is not even consideration about the people with lower income or social situations, and as long people only say: Yeah is ok, we pay $170, all good, I will wait for a sale, still pricey but all good. they will not improve or change their ways.JunSev wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 1:53 pm
That's the problem with you, you want to exaggerate things and have pretty bad conclusions of things even when sometimes you are not even interested in particular products or anything and that has been demonstrated.
I have a soft spot for Live too... a couple times I briefly thought about upgrading to 10, but the $299 price was too much for what would be idle curiosity.SLiC wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 8:20 pmI was with Live from 4 - 9 (suite), I have never sold it...but wasnt tempted with the 10 upgrade either and to be honest I cant remember the last time I used it....I don't miss anything and can't go back(to used top in clip editing, pop up browser, unified modulation etc), but weirdly I still have soft spot for Ableton, we were together for a long time!rob_lee wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:46 pmSLiC wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:43 pmThen don't do the yearly update thing....its optional! this chart makes me sad.
I love Bitwig and I feel it should be up there with the big boys.
That particular person talks as if was a bitwig representative, he was talking nonsense about others daw in the bitwig forum that simply are not true; is like bash other products and put yours up because bitwig is superior, That's the problem, such a dirty strategy and misinformation shouldn't have place, it got me really annoyed.pdxindy wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:24 pmEveryone acts as themselves and speaks for themselves... only the Bitwig devs can act as representatives of Bitwig.JunSev wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:07 pmThen I'm just talking about some particulars that act as representatives in the bitwig forum.pdxindy wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:15 pmThe Bitwig representatives hardly post at all... even in the Bitwig forum... and when they do, it is just about some specific issue related to Bitwig.JunSev wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 5:56 pmKeep in mind the reason I'm commenting here is because of the trash talking/bashing/exaggeration of some of those bitwig representatives
If some forum user speaks in some way you don't like, that is between you and that person and has nothing to do with Bitwig at all.
Stop spreading this lie, we have calculated Live vs bitwig cost staying up to date and bitwig becomes more expensive than live at 3 years at full prices for both but with live you are getting suite with more instruments and content.mtelesha wrote: Wed Jul 10, 2019 8:03 pm $129 for updates is what people get hung up on but in the long run you save yourself over Cubase or Abelton Live.
I was still on Bitwig 1 and I just paid my $129 and I got Bitwig 2 immediately and got Bitwig Beta 3 also. I think it is a good plan but they need to figure a way to communicate it to the community. I feel great because I got Bitwig 3 for so cheap.
