hi,
I'm newbie with mulab8 and I'v tried to play in one track a stupid midi sequence and in another track with step sequencer to record the output from sequencer. sequencer is working, no problem, but recording is not possible, how I have to make modular connections? I have tried many ways, but without success....
one track contents as modul a step sequencer with midi sequence which I want record in a second track with synth (target modul of sequencer track is the second synth track). second track plays correctly midi events from sequencer, but without recording.
or a generally question: can I in mulab play a midi sequence in one track with a plug-in (f.e. with sequencer, composer etc.) and record processed midi sequence in one another track? or is it only as audio possible? which settings need I for this?

Ok, for example see below.....
Make sure that the track you are recording to is an "Audio track"

hi, thanks, this is what I was scared before. this means, midi recording is not possible? in another daw's it's no problem. your solution is generally nothing other as midi/audio export. or am I wrong?

What bibz1st proposed definitely is an interesting way, it will record all audio. But ok you wantto record the events only. You can do that by inserting an Event Recorder module just after the Step Sequencer. So using the above screenshot: Move down the synth 1 slot then insert an Event Recorder in the empty slot between Step Seq and synth. Hit record.

sorry for OT - at this place maybe a small idea for improvement: in dialog Project/save as.../Name by one mouse click automatic selection of whole name to immediately writing a new name? actually you have with backspace delete in step/step or selecting with mouse. but no problem, only a thought

Its nothing special, cant even remember if I changed colours for everything but you can have it as is..
