There are some people in this world who can never be wrong (they must be a very special type of person). Mathematics seems to be one of them.

Between this thread and the gearslutz one - Gullfoss conversations seem to attract a lot of these types (first it was explaining why it is so wrong to offer intro prices for Windows users and now this "explanation" of how Gullfoss must work)

When you show them they are wrong, they just post even more - so let's just try to ignore them.
One indication that you are a waste of time - is when you are arguing with the developer himself - about how his plugin works. :dog:

And there are some people in this world that are lazy and stupid. The issue was not why it was wrong to offer intro prices for windoze. the issue was clearly reiterated multiple times. but here let me state it again for you so can stop making things up: It was wrong for Sound Theory to set expectations for a release date and miss it not once, not twice, but three, going on four times now. Hopefully you got it now. If not PM and I will try and make it clearer for you. And, on top of that, you were wrong for misrepresenting the issue. :dog:

no-one is immune from that behaviour. we are all human.

i, personally, thought you grotesquely misrepresented the issue in your first morse-code post, here. not only did you bring up the argument in a place where the argument was not ongoing, you presented your side of the story ALONE, to forum-goers on kvr who hadn't seen how the conversation had already played out.

now, the mods on gearslutz have already clamped down on the gullfoss thread over there. do we really, really, really, really, really, REALLY, REALLY want to have that done over here, too?

this is enough. i know none of you will listen to me, because i'm not a mod and i can't FORCE anyone to stop. but honestly, really, don't you all think this is enough?

No. Absolutely not. However if someone is going to post misinformation or misrepresentations, it will usually elicite further posts on the topic.

The way out is for people to not post misinformation and not misrepresent what people said. It's not difficult.

Posting in morse code was dumb, but fun. I've since converted it back to regular text. Thanks for playing along though. I disagree with you about the content of the post which was both on-topic and relating my experiences with SF on this forum. This may be of interest to some users here. This is how forums work, usually. But thanks for sharing your point of view.

"Thanks for sharing your point of view," huh?

Well, at least you didn't say "you're wrong, but I'm a better person than you are."

frankly i can relate a little to that morse code post - i bought it at the end of last year and a just a couple of months later they switched to Pace copy protection which i deliberately avoid like plague.

I already skipped on the NeuralDSP exclusively because they use Pace, else I was willing to buy them.

So now that i'll be either forced to go to Pace, or forced to search for another tool and sell this one, i'm super-duper annoyed with them. Just gah.

SoundTheory saw my post about the VST3 and reached out to me via email. They found the solution to the VST 3 loading issues that was crashing all version of Cubase from 7 to 10.x on Windows. Updating ILOK to the latest version doesn't automatically update the underlying pace code.. The solution is go to the Pace website (not ilok.co,) and download Ilok from their links. This download bundles the pace code and the ilok code and updates both to the most recent version. There is no easy way to tell if you are running the latest version of pace on Windows ... ILOK yes but pace? no you can't see it.

I am so very impressed that they reached out to me after seeing my comments here and had a solution for me which went further than the original instructions. Clearly a service oriented company. Well Done!

I've had a couple of crashes in Reaper (my Reaper is normally very, very stable) I was using the VST3. I cannot categorically link the crash to Gullfoss though. But it did crash twice when I had it on the tracks (I just bought it a few days ago), and its not crashed for weeks and weeks.
