Free Violin VST? Can't find anything current...

I've been trying to find a Violin/Strings VST plugin at kvraudio.com, but even when my search is set to "newest," everything I'm finding is several years old and the downloads take me to websites that have been since removed. The only one I found that worked downloaded a .zip file and when I unpacked it, it was an .exe (which makes my virus scanners nervous.) I was told the vst's were supposed to be .dll's?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the links! I downloaded the file and it unzipped to a .dll and an .mse. However, MuTools seems to only like .mux files? I went into the VST plugin manager, found the folder, and it displays. But, when I look for it in the instrument folder I dropped both the .dll and .mse into, it doesn't show up in the program. I've tried to find a youtube tutorial and googled it, but so far haven't found anything that addresses this.
Also, thanks for referring me to the proper forum channel!

Maybe look into the manual? https://www.mutools.com/info/docs/index.html
Of course MuLab likes VST-dll's. Simply open a new rack (click on the "+"), click on an empty slot, choose "Browse for VST"
Then select your dll and you are done. The VST-manager will update automatically.
That works same way for instruments and effects.
And in case a slot is not empty, right-click it and choose "replace" ...

And you can also directly drag-drop a VST DLL onto a MuLab rack slot.
And, by the way, this little general workflow tip: Whenever you have a MuLab file browser open and you want to point it to the same file/folder as a Windows explorer window / MacOs finder window, simply drag-drop a file/folder from the explorer / finder window onto the MuLab browser window, that will sync the MuLab browser window.

There's the question of 32bit vs 64bit. If the VST in question is 32bit and MuLab is running as 64bit, it won't like the VST dll.

Thanks! MuTools, the drag file into the rack slot worked well! I'm not sure why I can't get it to appear otherwise, but this trick solved the problem, thank you!
