This is an analogy so don't take it as a direct comparison.

You should also quote everyone in the same FB group who is saying that it's not true -aka, another lie directly from Di*k- (before they get banned from the FB group and their comments erased, as it is common practice on that group).Sindikhate wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 12:07 amI am not the one who is upset here. It is in fact new. You were able to transfer licenses you bought used before. I will no get into the debate whether it's "fair practice or not", I don't care. But it is new.
2. "There is a cap on the license transfer charges".
Incorrect again. There used to be a cap 6 hours ago. $20 per transfer up to 2 transfers, or $50 for 3 or more transfers.

You're welcome to have any opinion, to believe in anything you want and to drink all sorts of kool-aid. I care very little about it and I won't interfere with your life decisions. I actually think that the vast majority of PA plugins are rather mediocre. You can think differently and that's ok. Nonetheless, if you want to take a chill pill, do it. Do not tell others to do it though.
From Dirk on Facebook
"Dirk Ulrich As the web site states, right now you can only transfer once per month. This has been the case for ages. People complained so we have changed the policy, but we still have to finalize the web dev work.
New pricing will be $20 per plugin, activation fees will be subject to Dynamic Discounts, so you pay $8 per plugin if you activate 6 plugins or more, for example.
Soon you will also be able to transfer as often as you want, but right now the once-per-month restriction is still in place. We're working on all of this right now."
If you find the PA plugins mediocre that is ok. I think that they have some really amazing plugins, some I do not need and some I would not use based on that. Some I like more some less. That goes with everything in life. I think the new transfer procedure is much better than the previous one, minus the plugins becoming NFR but come on, look at the current prices.
I am not debating who is upset here. I reserve my right to be upset or not as I please. For the sake of good form, I am only pointing out to you to avoid telling people what kind of pills to take. It's very unattractive.

Why did you buy mediocre plugins (according to you) ? Let me guess you are a slate fanboy?escalona wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 12:31 amYou should also quote everyone in the same FB group who is saying that it's not true -aka, another lie directly from Di*k- (before they get banned from the FB group and their comments erased, as it is common practice on that group).Sindikhate wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 12:07 amI am not the one who is upset here. WTF? They already tried this back in 2018 and met with furor. Dirk walked it back and they said the FAQ didn't reflect it because they didn't have control over it or whatever. Then a couple months later the FAQ made it clear transfered licenses would not become NFR. Then they're doing it again? I boycotted them for half a year until they reversed it, bought stuff in the recent sale, and now I'm back to my boycott.escalona wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2019 11:15 pm 3. Yeah, I get it, the market is changing, but when your policies are vacillating like this, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the stability of the business.
How do people offloading licenses because they purchased a subscription feel about this? I'd be livid.

This PA thing has killed me, I have had family and friends buy them for me for my birthday etc. Been buying second hand ones while saving for a new computer. Finally got the computer yesterday, went to activate 48 plugins... Fee Required for 48....

Get in touch with their support, they are usually very helpful. I would point out that such a policy change would have needed advance notice.LastDarkstar wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 4:00 am This PA thing has killed me, I have had family and friends buy them for me for my birthday etc. Been buying second hand ones while saving for a new computer. Edit: While I am still fascinated that people can obsess about this to the point where it almost turns into a medical condition, it is also stunning how PA manages to stumble from one completely unnecessary communication blunder to the next. If I had a company in the Alliance I would seriously consider joining the Empire.

Not APD, but the base price is the lowest possible price in that shop if you use the credits you accumulate from buying into the time-limited deals. The current price is...the current price. I think it changes when you apply the credits but it's been a while since I went through the process there. Without credits, it's basically the maximum price at APD.

For me these APD credits are rather worthless because their limitation to use and the quite high prices in that shop.

That's pretty much why I've hardly ever bought anything there. I think the one time I did it was during some kind of flash sale.
Found it: it was a Realsamples piano bundle from the start of the year.
