Hi There
Patching together some stuff i wanted to assign the Amplitude-Parameter of a modulation-connection (edit window of a green wire) to a meta-parameter... dragging the label to the meta-parameter does
something, but the link is not established... is this not possible (would be very annoying) or a bug?
i am on win7 x64 / ableton live 10.1

many thanks for some insights!

Connections themselves cannot be attached to a meta-parameter. However, there is a way to achieve what you're after. Use a mod-mapper module, and drag it's amplitude to the meta-parameter. The mod-mapper module is design to skew/modify the amplitude/dc-offset of a modulation signal.

CFR Modulation Mapper under Modulation Processors: http://mutools.com/info/docs/mux/mutools-modules.html

See the attached image for clarification on the setup.

Hope this helps,

On this topic, modulation mapping and wave-shaping are rarely discussed here. Most discussion here is around synthesis and sampling, not on signal processing (you know, the core of what makes the MUX flexible in the first place).

So here's a quick video showing the modulation mapper and what it does, with visuals! I always found that having visuals on what's actually happening to a signal always helps me to understand why it's useful (took me a year to understand allpass filters).

Enjoy!
