That's not the best business practices for any company, it's definitely without class.

Back to the topic, FLEX reminds me of the Synthmaster Player, just a tiny sample of what can be further purchased in the full version, or in this case the expanded version.
I should also add that FLEX is free and Synthmaster Player can be bought for as low as $5. FLEX comes with around 400 presets and Synthmaster Player about 1800, not bad for $5 as opposed to $10 for 1 expansion with a few more presets for FLEX. For quality and quantity, Synthmaster player is by far the better deal.

Synthmaster Player also has a free version with 550 presets.

Why some people still say Fruityloops when since many years it's FL Studio? Respect the dev decision on the name change and say FL Studio finally. Fruityloops is dead since years. 8)

What does the FL stand for in FL Studio? If they wanted to disassociate themselves with it that badly they should of dropped the FL? A lot of veteran users still call it Fruityloops, there's nothing wrong with that. Even though it does sound a little childish now...

FL in FL Studio is only a reminiscence but you seem not to understand it.

Granted, FLEX is a new synth so its understandable that it does not have that many presets yet.

For me the main issue with it is that it's just not particularly inspiring. I have gone through the free presets and haven't found anything that would have made me go "WOW!".

Synthmaster Player has much better sounds overall. Also it is actually more usable because every patch exposes some of the underlying controls that allow further tweaking of the sounds. The same goes, for example, for XILS PolyKB Player and Camel Alchemy Player. They all have plenty of amazing sounds and way more tweaking potential without complexity.

FLEX on the other hand seems just a storefront for IL to sell soundpacks. And I'm ok with that. I just don't see myself using it much.

Your conclusion is that i should buy Synthmaster Player now because i got FLEX for free or what do you want to say?

You seem to be the typical IL hater just registered here to bash the dev and nothing else. Better move on before you got banned for good reason.

+1
Seems to be the general consensus around here.

Gol was pretty autistic. And that's the reason why Fruityloops is so autistic compared to other DAW's and why it draws in so many autists.

It is what it is. That's what makes Fruityloops unique.
Yeah but the problem is do we want to be antagonistic, or get along? Seems to me that in FL threads, from the company down, they DO NOT want to get along.
Well, it's certainly not the impression I've got personally. It's understandable that they do have to defend their product and decisions when called out for something. Nothing wrong in that. I've certainly pointed out some serious deficiencies with Fruityloops along the way and have been trolled by IL but I'm not gonna have a hissy fit about it.
Cool.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I like the FL paradigm. The only thing I don't like is the disdain they have sometimes. AND I can kinda understand when you are under attack that you feel the need to fight back (er ah, I haven't been guilty of that here  ) but still good customer relations generally do better than a hard stance. Anyways, I respect you opinion, peace out.

You're obviously not the sharpest pencil in the box.

And by the way, I've been Fruityloops user since it was conceived and on those forums way longer than you. So just stop sprouting your idiotic nonsense.

Seems you are talking about yourself (meaning the first sentence):

What???

1. Synthmaster Player´s presets have grown over more than 10 years as they are the normal SM2 presets and you should have heard the first ones, which were anything else but good...
Give Flex 10 years before you compare!!

2. Did you ever had a look at Flex??

Synthmaster Player offers you 8 Macros + 2 X/Y Pads...

FLEX offers you 8 Macros + complete control over Pitch, Amp Env, Filter Env, the used Filter (without the filter type though), Reverb, Delay, a complete Master Filter with 22 different filter types, a complete Limiting/Saturation Section and the output level...

Seems you are one of the biggest experts to rate the few controls of SM Player for "more useable"...

It´s in general always good advice that if you don´t have any clue about what you are talking, it´s better to shut up and go to mama to let her count her children...

Calm down, dear. Maybe you should practice on your reading comprehension a bit, then take a deep breath and read again what I wrote.

Why do some of these arguments about Image-Line remind me of Roger the Alien's golden turd?
