So, now you're saying that all my finished MSF devices with lots of FX have to be scrapped and I should start over?

I assume this is or will be available in MSF (I'm not at my DAW). Unfortunately, it probably will make me feel obligated to go back and significantly rework the FX in my finished devices. I'd prefer to have a half-dozen well-chosen FX modules that can be reordered by the user than the kitchen-sink solution I've reused from the template. Oh well ... perfect is the enemy of the good.

Definitely cool—and thanks for the intro info! But so far in MSF…it's kinda odd:
As you say, only available for the Per-Voice FX in the Gen tab, and only available in the FX tab inside MXXX (Maybe why this isn't available on its own here?):



Initial questions:

So, in Step 3, you don't assign or "learn" the MP to anything, or need to name it in any particular way?

And in Step 4, apparently it's OK to abbreviate the FX names you type in…right!?

I assume this needs to be above whatever MPs you create for the FX themselves, in the MP list?

So, any way to rename the FX and/or their parameters on the Easy Screen once they're inside the Order Module?

I missed out Step 5 - see the revised screenshot above That's the one you missed

Order item names - I think they can be anything but you need the right number and in the same order as in the Order module.

I have not explored renaming.

OK, did that…and nothing changed. Started over from scratch…still nothing.

Turns out that while I no doubt needed that step, for sure, the key thing was using SEMI-COLONs between the list items! I'd been using commas. As soon as I fixed that, it worked:)

I squinted at your example and finally noticed that…plus how you'd put in a comma after Saturator as well as a semi-colon, and the comma is right there in the final label for that block—I guess you can name these whatever you want—just don't leave out the semi-colon:)

Actually, I would have thought it would be more useful in the FX section in the first place. Most soft synths have FX strings for which the user can specify the order. Maybe this will also be of great value in the generator section, but I would be wary of putting something in front of the user that would potentially be deeply confusing. Deciding the order of Distortion, EQ, Delay, etc. is not so mysterious.

Hi all.
Vojtech has adapted my suggestion for colors in the ReOrder Strip in the easy screen.
This uses Hex colors.
ANALOG EQ#006600;CHORUS#6693399;COMPRESSOR#660000;DEESSER#666699;DELAY#003399;
