Automation not working

Hey All.

So I have a project with a really simple automation line to control the hi/lo pass filter on a single track. Worked perfectly.

Had to rebuild the PC and installed everything from scratch and backups. Everything works as expected other than automation. Ended up deleting the automation line and trying again - nothing - literally seems to totally ignore it. The plug-in works when manually adjusted, it's just the automation that’s being ignored. I must be missing something really simple here - any basics for me to check?

hmmm, reading the manual! .... I think my automation read may be turned off! Will check when I get home
