If I remember correctly, the MPS 1 - > MPS 2.1 upgrade was $ 199 about two months ago.
I could understand the $ 149 for this upgrade. But obviously no advavance in iZotope's mind owning the previous bundle. Strange.
Oh well - not my problem :) Got it for $126.65 with group discount added on top (makes up for Izotopes generally crappy upgrade prices) Thanks Eric
Who said this is a problem? Its just strange/unfair pricing policy, but we are used to that, concerning the iZotope.
BTW, I purchased the MPS 2.1, too, by the price of $ 125,16. Buahahahahaa... :ud:

Uncle E wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2019 9:37 am It could be. It's just strange that they're simultaneously selling the Upgrade from MPB for $299 when anyone with MPB qualifies for the Upgrade from Advanced.
It's Izotope. I wouldn't be surprised for them to offer a $99 upgrade from DDLY and $599 from RX7 Advanced.

Hi Eric, when I log in my Softube account, the upgrade price from Volume 2 to Volume 3 is 109$, while yours is 119$ before discount. Is this a mistake?

BTW - I got the MPS 2.1 license immediately, and after the registration, got a separate email from iZotope, including additional serial numbers for the Visual Mixer and Relay. Aren´t those included to the Neutron 3? If so, why they send a separate serials, any idea?

I guess the reason being Visual Mixer and Relay are free products. I got them with the trial of Neutron 3 and they are free to keep even after my trial expired.

Hi uncle E, I've found the same offer in my account at the Izotope site. It says valid until August 29th; is there still the possibility that this is a mistake from Izotope or now we can be sure that the offer is valid?

OK, thank you.

Not cool iZotope, I paid $280 for the MPB2 to MPS2.1 upgrade on Jul 2nd...and now this?!! :x

Post

If it's any comfort the MPB->MPS2.1 upgrade price is still $299. I've also got coupons for $399 and $599 in my account. Oh, and that $149 one.

Don't get me wrong, I'm truly happy for all you lucky cats who bagged a nice deal today. But I think this is hurting iZotope and that species we call the "Loyal Customer" which is becoming evermore endangered with these reckless practices.

Post

I entirely agree with you. I was just making a joke about Izotope's consistently broken discount system.

I confess I held off their intro sale and what came after in the expectation they would pull a stunt like this. As I didn't need the upgrade there and then, I decided to wait it out. I might wait some more because I'm still not sure I'm going to be able to use N3 much in the near future.

But in the meantime, Izotope keeps dumping on its most loyal customers. That's not good business.

What's the cheapest thing I can buy? :P

Post

The $149 are legit because they appear in the iZotope account as well. This is not completely out of character for iZotope.

They also seem to factor in that people can resell easily, so if there is an upgrade to a package you can always resell the licenses you have duplicate. I actually made money upgrading to MPS2.1. I cross-graded from PPS3 for an apple and an egg and then sold all the individual licenses of MPS2.1 products I already had.

But I do agree. As much as I like playing the bargaining game, I would very much prefer a consistent licensing system instead. Keeping up with iZotope is starting to become exhausting.
