Yikes, that is tempting. :borg:
They've got the upgrade from 8-Track for $179.
Super tempted, probably buying. I have too many DAWs! :clown:
you won't be dissapointed. I barely look at my other DAW's now. Bitwig is so much more creative

Hi Yan, I double-checked the Softube price sheet and they are indeed telling us to sell it for $119. :-/

I guess it's not a mistake. The thing that really made me unsure is that all their dealer newsletters and banners say 50% off. I thought if they intended to make it 70% off, they'd be loud and proud about it.

Yes, it's incredible. Spectral De-noiser is the one I'm constantly using.

For quick demos or streaming, they're incredible. Since Ozone's Master Assistant can be set for streaming, I actually trust it more than my own ears for that purpose.
Take BT and Iris, which are still unique in many ways today, yet sadly abandoned for no good reason.
Agreed. Imagine if Iris could load other sample formats and then apply its processing to all the multi-samples, that could become my go-to quick sampler.

$99, the same as now. However, the upgrade deals are lower than I ever remember seeing them.

Be sure to let us know if this works as a pathway to bitwig 3 or if it's infact just for 2.4!

Hardware effect pedals: the Source Audio Soundblox range seems to be heavily discounted at Thomann. Dunno if they're any good.

This is only an upgrade to 2.4 from version 1
My understanding is that there is just an "upgrade plan". The version numbers that are sometimes listed have no real meaning.
I will try to find out.
By the way does anyone know if it s possible to purchase a second upgrade?
I have one that i have not activated yet. Will do on the next meaningful update as i have just expired
The "Upgrade" is basically a code that you can use at any time to get 12 months of updates from the moment you activate that code. It's always the latest version, so as was said, there is no "2.4 update" as the page on reverb.com suggests (rather silly of them actually, I'm sure they would sell more if they had the 3.x info there)
After those 12 months, you keep the last version you had at that moment infinitely.
You can then use another update code whenever you want to get another 12 months of updates from that moment on - rinse and repeat...
I have one update code sitting in my mail folder ATM and will activate it when a version comes out that needs it. My update plan has expired already but version 3 was still included. As long as you don't use the codes, I don't see why you shouldn't buy as many as you want in theory.
Although it's always possible that things change in the future, so I personally won't buy more than one update code at a time.
What I do not know is, if you can enter several codes right away and get multiple years of updates. That would be a question for support. But IMO it makes more sense to only activate when something needs it.

The only specific update is from 8-Track, since that is more expensive than the normal one, but again you get 12 months of updates included.

This is just me as a customer speaking, I have no special inside information.

And yeah, Bitwig 3 is really good.

Cheers,

Tom

At Reverb it generally means "we've run out of licences and you won't see any more until the price goes back up".

Bitwig is my DAWs and UHe and Tracktion Synths are my Bae. I maybe buy one synth a year. REMEMBER SELF just one synth a year!
