On my iZotope account there is an upgrade:

So perhaps it's legit?

It could be. It's just strange that they're simultaneously selling the Upgrade from MPB for $299 when anyone with MPB qualifies for the Upgrade from Advanced.

iZotope is offering me an in-account coupon to upgrade to MPS 2.1 from any of their advanced products, even though I only have the Vocal Chain bundle. Or I have the choice of $249 from Vocalsynth 2 or Nectar 3. Their upgrade paths continue to make no sense.

It makes me wonder what would happen if I purchased the $149 bundle whether or not it would work?

I own the MPB and some older Advanced products like Ozone 5 Advanced. I did NOT have the offer for a $149 upgrade in my iZotope account.

However, I bought the $149 upgrade last night from JRR Shop, got the code instantly, and registered it without issue to my iZotope account. Activated in my DAW and everything.

So if they are giving you the offer, it'll probably work. I didn't even have the offer, but I knew I had some Advanced products in the MPB and older stuff. And it worked perfectly.

I have a love/hate relationship with Bitwig. Struggled with the laggy GUI on a Mac for a long time. Gave up, picked it up again, etc. It does have a few really nice standout features. For me personally, the most interesting thing is the implementation of the touch interface. If you want to use a DAW on a tablet PC there is nothing else that comes even close imho. Of course, hardcore Bitwig users will give you a million other reasons why it is the best.

I had it, obviously the modulation system is the most amazing part. The fact that Bitwig only supports VST is the worst part. Since I work from a Mac laptop and also use Logic, I only install the AU versions of plugins to save space.

Yeah, but im referring to the JRR upgrade, not the iZotope site one. Altough they have the same price. I'm curious though if they are the same thing!

I think this upgrade is the same one (and so do the resellers it seems) but can't say for sure as I qualify for this upgrade under those stricter rules.

I would think it would work UNLESS they made a mistake and have reversed it. But they would have asked JRR Shop to take that promo down as well.

Just be warned that if you ask and it IS a mistake, they might notice and shut it down haha.

But I would guess it still works. Even if you dont have the offer in your iZotope account. There is an additional discount available through JRR so definitely get the upgrade there regardless.

Hmm yeah true, better safe than sorry though and I don't think it's a mistake because they are probably aware of JRR. Let's hope it's not because it would make a great discount!
