I'd try it out but, no Win7? why? that sucks.
I'm not moving to W10 until at least 2022.
anyway how does it work in regards to latency? what does ableton or reaper report

Some people have said that it works in W7 but it just doesn't officially support it.acYm wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 7:02 pm I'd try it out but, no Win7? why? that sucks.

MS is ending Win7 support in January 2020.acYm wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 7:02 pm I'd try it out but, no Win7? why? that sucks.

I've successfully installed a number of things that were not supposed to work without at least Win8 indeed, but in this case with a usb device involved, it's more worrying. I'll take a look.
@mgw38 I'm literally gonna pay for extended support, like I were some sort of call center. such is the extent of my resignation.

My understanding is that they are ending extended support at that point.acYm wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 7:16 pm @mgw38 I'm literally gonna pay for extended support, like I were some sort of call center. such is the extent of my resignation.

I'm sorry I have to say that, I like the idea a lot, but this is a no go territory for me, too. Working at 48k. Why is it so hard to implement a 44.1/48k ADC in this day and age? Weird that 44.1 even exist any more. CDs are becoming increasingly obsolete, thankfully, and 44.1 is a real weird sampling frequency to choose.WSAudio wrote: Sat Dec 02, 2017 10:16 amYou'd have to record all the output in 44.1K project then import and resample into your main project - so not very easily unfortunately! We could add internal resampling into the plugin if that's a widely requested feature, but didn't originally because it adds latency and I thought it would be better to allow users to choose their resampling algorithm.EvilDragon wrote:I work at 48k (without exceptions!), how would Trueno fit my workflow?
This is actually the main deal breaker for me.

1.1.0 beta supports 48k.. Please read my review from "I bought Trueno synth" -thread.DuX wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 8:05 pmI'm sorry I have to say that, I like the idea a lot, but this is a no go territory for me, too. Have you pressed the tiny USB button at the bottom of the GUI? Sometimes it seems to be on by default but at other times it isn't. It won't make any sound without it.perpetual3 wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 11:50 amBecause I can’t get the plugins to even show up in Live, Maschine, or Komplete Kontrol. In Reason and Reaper it does show up but no sound.
I am pretty sure it is just one guy so if he is off earning a living or taking a holiday, it might take a while. It once took the SPC guy (ArcSyn) a month to reply to a question I asked on his forum here.I really want to love this thing, but Trueno support hasn’t responded to my last support email sent exactly one week ago.

In what way does it lack the flexibility of a VSTi? It has every little bit of that flexibility - loads of modulation with drag'n'drop assignment, editable oscillator waveforms, etc. If you think of it as a VSTi with a dongle for copy protection, you'd be right on the money. It could definitely be upgraded with new features via updates to the VSTi.chk071 wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 12:03 pmDoesn't surprise me. Concept wise, it's sort of neither fish nor flesh. It doesn't have the advantages of hands on hardware, and it doesn't have the flexibility a VSTi can offer.
It's hardware so no.
At the risk of derailing yet another thread, why? It is the stupidest, dumbest most ignorant thing I can think of. Windows 10 is so much better than Windows 7 in every possible way that it just isn't funny. It is certainly flexible enough that you could set it up to work like Windows 7 and you'd hardly notice the difference. Just remove all the pinned tiles, shrink the Start window down until it's unusable and you're set. Of course, you'd probably have to set up a handful of background tasks to simulate Windows 7's resource usage but I'm sure that wouldn't be a hassle, assuming you enjoy having Windows use up more of your system than necessary.acYm wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 7:16 pm@mgw38 I'm literally gonna pay for extended support, like I were some sort of call center. such is the extent of my resignation.
That's because it was chosen scientifically as the perfect sampling rate to use. 48k is just some arbitrary number greater than 44.1k to dupe gullible morons into shelling out more money. I can guarantee you there is not a single person on the planet who could tell the difference under any conditions.DuX wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2019 8:05 pmI'm sorry I have to say that, I like the idea a lot, but this is a no go territory for me, too. What matters to us, as producers, is bit depth. That's something that will actually benefit your work and that people can hear (in very specific circumstances).
