I see that MDrummer has its Sampler, and Multisampler. The documentation doesn't seem to say a whole lot about those. But they are samplers, really, right? It does look like you already built a sampler, and implemented it into MDrummer. So, would it be possible to use MDrummer like a sampler? Or am I totally confused?

The MDrummer sampler is already there in MSF.
However it is a single shot type thing, no standard features like loop etc, that will all come with the main sampler.

Speaking of that, where is the correct location to install the MDrummer Essentials package to if I have MSF installed? Do I have to also install MDrummer even if I dont have a license for it?

Here's what worked for me (no license, but I do have the demo version installed, fwiw):
Open MXXX in MSF's FX grid, Switch MXXX to EDIT mode, then load MDrummer in MXXX's grid. Click the Menu button in MDrummer, then select Install Pack from the drop-down. I get an error message first, but after clicking that, get the browser that lets you navigate to wherever you've put the pack downloads, and select them.

Ooh, juicy! What is the pitch algorithm like? Hoping for something like the 8 point windowed sinc interpolation that the Akai S1000 used. There have been a lot of samplers with crappy pitch resampling algorithms that ruin transients and clarity, take EXS24 in Logic as an example. I came from Akai and Yamaha hardware samplers to ITB and was shocked how bad it sounded.MeldaProduction wrote: Wed Aug 28, 2019 4:05 pm Sampler is actually nearly ready, a private beta soon![]()

Makes sense, sure it's not easy to program one from scratch!

Hi.
It´s very rudimentary right now, but I think that will change hopefully
It has the feature to change the start and end of a loop via modulation and that does result in cool sounding stuff
Have fun.
