I've only just seen the v1.0.1 beta links, so thank you, Michael.
Say mate, is the reason PA hasn't updated because so far you've only had betas to offer and it's waiting for a release version?
Thanks mate.

So if I already have Triad, is there any point in getting byome still? Are there any differences beyond the multiband functionality?

The only obvious thing Byome has over Triad is the automatic gain compensation. In Triad the auto volume stuff is more about balancing the contribution of each band, whereas in Byome it follows the input in spectacularly twitchy fashion. It's one of the best things about Byome IMO. I'd love to have the AGC as a module (which can also follow the sidechain, naturally) so it can be used in Triad or injected into Byome patches at arbitrary points rather than always being the final step.

When do you expect the final non-beta version to be rolled out?thelizard wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 8:29 pm Hi everyone,
New VST/VST3/AU public beta builds are here

These builds represent a massive effort to squash every crash bug, namely when changing or randomizing presets. One of our testers who was experiencing very consistent crashes was able to run these Triad builds while continuously changing and randomizing presets for over 20 minutes without a single crash.
Also:
-Ability to shrink interface scale. This should help people who are using Triad on laptops.
-Optimizations for RAM and CPU usage. These aren't super significant, but we have cleaned up a few places.
We haven't added in Wide Mode yet. We delayed LION and have been working exclusively on getting these crashes sorted out.

Does this happen to someone on Mac?
When you press right button in the rows of the bands, I can not select preset, it appears in gray, Factory Preset & User Preset.
On the other hand, if I can change the general Preset.
I have checked that in Windows if the Row Presets works.
It also happens to me with LION, I think it's a Bug...

Sometimes distortion and modulation can kill low-end. So maybe you do a simple two-band split and only add those to the mids and up, leaving the lows untouched. Might as well throw a touch of reverb there. Now, maybe you want a whole different saturation thing on the highs, so you want to process those separately. Maybe you want to S&H the mids...experiment. It's a great plugin for that.

That's a pretty weird question… Consider a bass line - you might want to add some distorion to low-end, phaser for mid-range and delay for top-end. The possibilities are endless and only limited by your imagintion and creativity. Unless obviously you're working on a country, classical or jazz music, where such things wouldn't be necessary or even welcome
