Any chance you could make the wavetable menu selection automatable? It's nice to be able to assign that to a physical knob on a hardware device for going through different wavetables. Like on Komplete Kontrol, Maschine, Novation controllers, Ableton Push etc.

The problem with that is the wave selector is dynamic, meaning you could have one or a million samples to choose from. Making it automatable would cause more problems than advantages. Maybe one day when I figure it out, ill definitely add it.

Yeah I understand. It's just really nice with synths like largo where you can pull up a preset and turn a knob to try different wavetables. Maybe you could have banks of wavetables which is selectable from a menu and then the actual waveform selector parameter works on the selected bank, which has a fixed number of wavetables? And by the way it doesn't have to be 128 since it's not midi, it's a host parameter so it's could be thousands.

I guess this video should sum it up The main things are wavetable oscs, new arp steps, shimmer on the reverb, then additional things like increased polyphony to 128 voices, and ability to have faster lfos, then lots of bugfixes.

90% is done, now I just need to make wavetables, then new presets, then update the manual, and its finished. Unfortunately I dont know how soon, I have some important things in life now that have a higher priority than Viper, but hopefully you shouldn't have to wait too long now.

Unfortunately not yet, they are a bug in the programming environment itself and not in Viper, so there is nothing I can do about it at the moment. I can only wait until the developer fixes this. I have been getting promises but nothing yet. Hopefully we will see a fix for it in the not too distant future.

Hi Adam, any plans for recursive modulation for the envelopes?
I find this a big part of the Virus sound. 80% of my Virus bass patches have recursive modulation on envelopes.

There are plans, but nothing concrete yet, that will be a huge task as I have to change a lot of things, taking into account of not breaking things and making sure the envelopes sound exactly the same.

Any chance you will move to a different frame work at some point, so we can have Mac and Linux versions?adamtrance wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 11:01 amUnfortunately not yet, they are a bug in the programming environment itself and not in Viper, so there is nothing I can do about it at the moment.
