Volume meter scaling

Hi, I think MuLab is a really great DAW and I'd really like to purchase it, but one thing that bugs me a lot is the scaling of the Volume Meters. I think gain staging is an important routine, especially when using plugins that expect much lower input levels. Generally I'm working at -18 db on single channels. When working at this level in Mulab the Volume Meters are very low which is hard to work with.

I recently saw a video which explains a k-scale plugin in logic. I dont work with logic and dont use that plugin, but the option in logic to change the level scaling to linear is something i'd love to have in MuLab. You can see what I'm talking about in this youtube video at 7min:


How hard would it be to implement the possibility to change the scaling of the meters in MuLab?

It's an interesting topic, for sure. Feel free to make a concrete proposal that includes the math for the different styles of level meter scaling.
