I am not going to lie. While a lot of open source projects (like the aforementioned Blender) have gotten much better over the years (and for some it appeals to companies and the like), I have also seen that "If you don't like it, fix it yourself" occasionally to pop-up and I completely understand that pain, it does hurts. Years ago you needed to be very good (and read lots of manuals) to understand what was even going on or handle a program, thankfully the problem has subsidized better (like again, the aforementioned example) and all signs point to improvement now.staying in the unfortuately typical open source 'if you dont like it fix it yourself' ghetto
Since you're here, would you mind telling us what was that 12 or 20 minute movie done by a single person? That must've been quite the feat to achieve something like that by one lonesome.
