It's a re-creation of megarive/genesis thus the Yamaha YM2612 chip which has 4 operatorscrystalmsc wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 9:25 amI just can't wait to hear more about the monster part, is it going to be a 6 layer FM monster? I saw a very interesting hint on David's tweet:
- User preset folder are now per product and not engine global
Will it be able to deliver the deep, dark, mysterious basses of the FB-01? Especially since there is a teaser of several alternative filters and DAC/Mix.
What's up at Plogue?

At its core yes, but you can stack a lot of stuff per voice and modulate pretty much everything.gentleclockdivider wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:06 pm It's a re-creation of megarive/genesis thus the Yamaha YM2612 chip which has 4 operators
Can't wait to show you more.
Thanks! All our products install our common framework yes. So each VST/AU/AAX plugin file very small, and both the UI data and DSP code is shared. So in all it actually means less space wasted, the install process does appear bloatery though I guess?Liero wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:43 am I've been harshly critical of the bloaty installers and frameworks that come with Plogue plugins, but ChipSynths (and ChipCrusher, my personal favorite) are simply products that no-one else is even close to making, so these are likely all going to be instant buys for me. Especially the C64. People who cry that $49 is too much for something as complex and unique as this, you probably don't want as customers anyway.

Can’t wait to get it. Made a dub techno track a few days ago inspired by the discussion in this thread using PortaFM. PortaFM has that hardware presence that few softsynths have. Hopefully MD has the same.davidv@plogue wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 3:09 pmAt its core yes, but you can stack a lot of stuff per voice and modulate pretty much everything.gentleclockdivider wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:06 pm It's a re-creation of megarive/genesis thus the Yamaha YM2612 chip which has 4 operators

That's awesome news. I am really hot hot hot. This boy is on fire and all that. I can imagine Coockoos enthusiasm to make a new video with that new beast of yours.
As a FM fanatic and a fan of all your plugins this sounds like Christmas, Easter and birthday party at once to me. Did I mention that I'm burning for the release... haha. But please do take your time. It should be done when it's done
Have joy and be sound.
