Couldn't agree more. Adobe lost me forever as a customer after moving to a subscription service, and same thing will happen with NI IF they make a similar move.
I agree in principle -- I have no interest whatsoever in such a model, and am not currently enrolled in any kind of software subscriptions. I would almost certainly discontinue use of most of my plugins if the relevant developer went the subscription route.

But if NI actually goes down this road (and that's far from clear at this point), I'd be in a bit of a bind. I'm so enmeshed in the Kontakt ecosystem that I don't know that I could give it up (or give up getting updates). If Kontakt does go subscription in some fashion, I'll have a painful decision to make that will hurt either way.

Ok! Whose turn is it to explain to JunSev that he doesn't own/possess the software he pays for?

In the meantime I'm sure management will make it worthwhile for someone to pick up the slack

Noone's. Just give up on it.

You guys don't need to explain me distorted teachings favorable-only-to-corporations oriented. We already discussed this before, again depending from which companies you're buying a software product, the product you're buying is yours; there is terms and conditions for it, we have to respect it, the same as when you buy a laptop, smartphone, tablet and other countless examples about products with their terms and conditions. You respect the terms, the product is yours, you can't of course do whatever you want with it, but is your possessions.

That's why many companies and developers says in their own websites: Download Your Product.

Exactly, because is yours, you paid for it, like come on... what's wrong with you guys?

I'm starting to think that maybe some of you are relatives to some of those companies or developers that supports subscriptions, so to make it look more "viable" option for the future. Simply because is absurd how exaggerated and unjustified your points are.

Use your mind the right way.

With all respect.

No! You were starting to think that last time. Remember? And despite having had the bullshit notion refuted, you are back with the same nonsense

No, it has been not refuted, is still strong and solid with real proves, are you manipulating facts like chk071 in order to support a point at any cost?

This demonstrate that you don't believe in honesty and what is right, better improve yourself and leave TV for some time watching south park...

With all respect.

You first. And that means ditch the 'Anyone who doesnt agree with me has ulterior motives' horsecock.

With no respect, because you've earned none.
