So I'm glad that I don't have basic knowledge of UI/UX design... Instead of being mad or extremely disappointed I just use MX without any issue on a GUI side.tapekiller wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 7:22 amAnyone with basic knowledge of UI/UX design can see why the interface is so messed up.SLiC wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2019 6:42 am Not to look a gift bourse in the mouth, but given all the issues with X, more presets (that you can’t find) and a different coloured skin would have been a long way down my list. Some animation on the ‘pictures’ of envelopes is obviously welcome, but should have been there from day one.
I have to say also, that in my opinion the dark skin shows how cluttered and fugly this synth is, not a flattering look!
Hell, even people who don't.
So many design choices led to wasted space in some areas, cluttered controls in other, the interface is a mess. Which is a shame, massive x has decent sonic capabilities but let's not forget that the interface is a tool to manage sound design, and if a tool is not comfortable to use it's not necessarily a good tool and getting the desired result is sometimes excruciating.
I'm not even mad, just extremely disappointed. It seems that Native Instruments is spiraling down towards incredible mediocrity, and forgot that they are missing a huge opportunity neglecting actual professionals instead of hobbyists.
Also I wish that every synth would have Dexed GUI or even better just plain text with command lines. Because I enjoy watching people being mad, sad, disappointed and angry. I like when they suffer when GUI is not perfect.
