Sitting here surfing various music tech forum whilst eating my breakfast and whilst reading a thread on the Korg Prologues and Minilogue XDs, it occurred to me how cool it would be if U-he implemented some of their oscillators, effects or filters for the Multi Engines on these synths. People have been clamouring for U-he to make a hardware synth for years - here's a half way house in the meantime.

How great would it be to have something like the waveshaper from RePro running on a Minilogue or a Prologue? Or having a P5 oscillator available to mix in with the onboard analog ones?

No idea how much work it would take to port across an effect or an oscillator and I'm cognizent that they are a small company with a small pool of dev resources and I'm not even sure if there's enough grunt in the Multi Effects engine to support a U-he oscillator or effect, but just thought I'd put it out there. Could be another revenue stream for U-he as well - and if it's not hard to do, a low risk one that allows them to generate cash off the back of Korg sales.

yes yes yes!

actually since the last NAMM i was thinking about
and wanted to write and ask here about the following idea:

HIVE uses the .uhm scripting language for wavetables/waveforms

prologue/minilogueXD use the opensource (afaik mutable instruments based ?) algorithmic programmable oscillator

what about a translator program?

a small little "uhm2korg" converter thingie :-)

hive comes with tons of wonderful sounding uhm waves,
that would be great to be used in a korg synth

and HIVE can be used as audible test-platform for korg waves

I dont think you understand what Korg's custom "oscillator" actually is and how it works.

the new NTS-1 loads those osc too, cheap way to get into/test
