They have just released four tutorials for Convex:https://glitchmachines.com/products/convex/
Sound C loud
Band C amp
Clicks and pops is all I get

I thought some time ago that the updated plugins now sound even better than before but I wasn´t sure if I was mislead by the new shiny surfaces...but Ivo stated, that they actually improved the audio engines code too. So I was right. They always sounded great but now the sound amazing...

A bundle of Cataract, Quadrant, Polygon, Cryogen is on sale at Pluginboutique for $15.00. IIRC, I paid $150 for all 8 of their synths/effects, a bit less than a year ago. Not sure what this means for Glitchmachines--they in the red? Still, lucky you who get this price.

Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

They are in the process of updating their stuff to 2.0 versions - which have to be paid for.

Post

I have all of their stuff.. Hopefully the update isn't too expensive

Post

The usual pattern:
give away your stuff with highly reduced prices and ask then a hefty upgrade price...

Glitchmachines has always had reasonable pricing. Even if the upgrades are at full cost I won't complain too much, especially since there are frequent discounts... you can always just wait for that.

the low pricing of their plugins was already at pluginboutique in october 2018, when i started buying them. so, me thinks they depend on the soundpacks.

Lots of wild stuff in there for creative sound design, especially in conjunction with the plugins.
How do you navigate these sample packs?

I picked up Idiom, Dialect & Metaphor in a recent sale. This past weekend I unpacked them and looked at loading them into Palindrome. The sheer number of samples and variations on themes within those packs is a bit :o . Hunting for and listening and loading and testing between e.g. MouthNoise 1 to 68 within Palindrome seems sub-optimal.

I sold all my Glitchmachines recently - they can get very good results and are silly cheap when on sale. I never did anythign worthwhile with them - just not my sort of interface - but if you like the interfaces then they are worth getting

Post

As if a plugin would be worth it due to its interface. Dude. The sound and creative options are the only thing making a plugin worth to have or not ;)

if that were the case then everyone would just code their music and not use any plugins/ DAW etc- after all that is the most powerful system as far as sound and creative options go. Or I guess if they didn't have coding skills they could use csound and a text editor - or go fancy and use excel as the front end.

Site there for a year and report back.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Yeah, there's a ridiculous amount of stuff. I pretty much choose samples at random -- I pick a folder that sounds interesting and scroll through in my DAW with autoplay turned on until I find something I like.
