Problems with recording microphone and Melodyne

Hi,

I purchased and installed Waveform 10 a few days ago. It won't record any audio from my microphones. I've tried the built in MacBook Pro mic, and a mic plugged into an Apollo Twin. Both mics work fine in other recording programs, but Waveform doesn't even see levels from them.

When I checked that on my laptop Waveform doesn't have privacy enabled or even asked for. Waveform doesn't show up on the list at all, and I can't figure out how to get it to request mic access. Any suggestions?

In addition, I downloaded and installed Melodyne. It's also appearing in all other VST accepting programs, as well as running well as a standalone. When I open Waveform it says there is a problem with it, and it reads out "Deactivated after failing to initialise correctly." I saw some people were struggling with the AU version vs the VST3 version, but when I installed it I wasn't even given an option to choose which one installs, or where it installs. The one it's seeing but failing to load is a .VST.

Update: I tried a fresh install, and resetting NVRAM. Waveform 10.3.1 still wouldn't request Microphone access. I used TrashMe to uninstall again, and installed Waveform 10.2.1. First time opening it the program requested Microphone access, and it is successfully recording from both mics. I then downloaded 10.3.1 again, installed it, and the permissions that it grabbed from 10.2.1 are still there. Working fine.

Melodyne still won't work as a plugin, but if anyone else is having the above problem that seems like an easy fix.
