Is there any feature like this on MAutoDynamicEQ?

The video is not about match eq. It's different. It is about automatically determining the right amount of EQ for your track in seconds. I wonder if any MeldaProduction plugin can do it too.

What's the goal? To accent the instrument or balance out the frequency range?
If the goal is to accent, that really should be done by ear. Computers aren't terribly good judges of what "sounds right".
If it's to balance out the frequency range, you could analyze the instrument as source, then analyze some pink noise as the target, and have it auto adjust from there.
I don't really understand why one would want to do this though. I get the idea of boosting/normalizing parts of the source that get overwhelmed in recording, but that's what a dynamic eq is precisely for. Just adjust the bands where they need to be.
Perhaps you have some insight that I don't? If so please explain, I'm very curious. Also if you're trying to do a spectral squash, there's the spectral dynamics plugin which is well loved around here.

From the curve it has produced, it looks to me like flattening. You can see it has massively boosted the low and top ends to bring them up to a similar level as the mids.
This can be done in MAutoDynamicEQ by matching your source to a flat target.

I've attached the compressed zip in order to compare between MainEQ "flat feature" and MAutoDynamicEQ's "match to pink noise". Let me know what you guys think.

I've not taken a look. But, it's best not to use pink noise. It will get you a roughly flat response, so it's not too bad, but it won't be perfectly flat (due to its random nature)
Best way is to use draw mode and simply draw the flat line. You can do this by selecting draw from the source menu, then right clicking in the graph and disabling draw mode, now you can simply move the nodes around to create a flat line.

%50 Melda was the closest to MainEQ in my ear. Maybe white noise would be a better target so as not to roll of the highs as much. Still lost on "Auto-eq'ing". I understand eq-matching (what Melda/FF do) but auto-eq is just lost on me. Outside of ticking a feature-list check box, I fail to see the application. Maybe on a master bus to do an across the board flattening, but that's easily done by hand. In fact flattening isn't always the right answer.

Yup, sounds like matching to pink noise (or perhaps with some low & high roll-off). Sadly this is not good enough to "make something sound good". If it would, we wouldn't need to be mixing

Sorry Vojtech but thirtyOne doesn't matches to pink noise, I already explained (and it's not a secret) that internally it makes a weighted average of the bands trying to reduce peak and notches close to each other, the applies a compensation curve that "resembles" pink noise in the default one, but you can customise it as much as you want.MeldaProduction wrote: Sun Sep 29, 2019 5:21 pm Yup, sounds like matching to pink noise (or perhaps with some low & high roll-off).
