It’s not an unrealistic assumption, though I suspect the term “failure” might be relative. I disagree that they’re throwing (Reason as a stand-alone DAW) away and only becoming a plug-in company. The numbers simply don’t add up. Their entire company is literally built and has been sustained by (Reason as a stand-alone DAW). It's a smart business decision driven by Verdane no doubt, but probably hard to swallow by the core team, because it's a clear admission to failure.
That said, the 11.x and (presumably) 12 features will either prove me right or wrong.
