Dear Tracktion team,
first of all I would like to thank you for being so generous and giving away Waveform with the latest Computer Music issue.
What really catches my attention is that Waveform is focus on producing music and I was considering using Waveform as producing/sound design DAW and Reaper as mixing DAW.
It happens that when I use Waveform the CPU is overloaded for some strange reason. I have been using Reaper for one year now and do not have that problem. I wonder if I am doing something wrong in Waveform. I would like to solve it if possible.
Please, find more information in the pictures.
The audio interface configuration is the same (latency, sample rate...) Plugins in the sessions are Punchbox by D16 and SeqCollection2 by HY-plugins. Willl be delighted to give you further info is needed.
Thank you very much for your time.

Thats correct, the CPU usage meter indicates the relative usage within Waveform - not the overall system usage. Its designed to indicate which of your plugins is the most CPU intensive within the DAW ecosystem - allowing you to deploy tools such as 'freeze points' to manage your resources

Reaper is more cpu-friendly handles very well third-parties plugins, use a lot of Acustica Audio plugins(very cpu demanding). However, think, Waveform is more creative, like a lot the Plugin Rack concept, very flexible. Need more time to explore Waveform.
