However, all of the content (3.47 Gb) was nevertheless installed on the local hard drive at C:\ProgramData\Propellerhead Software. Is there a way I can move this folder to the external drive and have Reason point to that instead? I don't see an option to select the path for content in Preferences.

I filed a ticket about this and was told that no option was "by design." There is a way to get around it, though, for example:

Personally I think that the fact that "by design" they allow no option and don't appear to be willing to change it is bizarre, but I'm just demo-ing it and it's new to me. Probably not going to get it.

Perhaps - maybe worth reaching out to support to verify before one purchases the Suite (if your goal is to be able to sell the entire thing and transfer all licenses)? Maybe they changed their RE policy for bundles and the new Suite? No clue. All I can say is that historically, they have never allowed RE's licenses to be re-sold or transferred.

I appreciate your reply, but since Reason Suite includes 16 REs, I really think it's a fair question to ask whether a buyer would receive these if I sell my Reason Suite license.

I'm still hoping to get an official answer.
