Do you need to install codemeter for reason?

No, only if you want to authorize your computer for offline use. Codemeter is not needed for online verification.

This looks great - I'm going to give it a shot, thanks!DaveClark wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:38 amI filed a ticket about this and was told that no option was "by design." There is a way to get around it, though, for example:bharris22 wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 1:30 am However, all of the content (3.47 Gb) was nevertheless installed on the local hard drive at C:\ProgramData\Propellerhead Software. Is there a way I can move this folder to the external drive and have Reason point to that instead? I don't see an option to select the path for content in Preferences.

Personally I think that the fact that "by design" they allow no option and don't appear to be willing to change it is bizarre, but I'm just demo-ing it and it's new to me. Probably not going to get it.

Dave Clark

If I buy Reason 11 Suite and then decide to sell my license, will the buyer get the included Rack Extensions?

No worries, was merely an olive branch. I tend to disagree with Reggie on some fundamental issues concerning climate change, and his animosity stems from debates we've had in a thread elsewhere. Just some people are better at dealing with debates regarding opinions, is all.scatman84 wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 5:32 am I can't believe how rude you're behaving with @EnochLight !
EnochLight is being a gentleman and helping you despite your animosity!
Are you this rude in real life too??? I'm appalled by your stinky arrogance!
We're seeing 2 extremes here - reggie being extremely arrogant & EnochLight being extremely nice!
Mods, why this prick is not banned??? Such kind of crass behaviour shouldn't be tolerated in KVR!
Hey reggie1979, go back to your 4chan forums, no place here for a foul mouthed guy like you!
Now, back to your regular programming!

Rack Extension licenses are non-transferrable - they remain tied to your account. You can only sell/transfer your actual Reason license.tincture wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 12:25 pmIf I buy Reason 11 Suite and then decide to sell my license, will the buyer get the included Rack Extensions?

But it gives me an opportunity to say that I also noticed that EnochLight has been very patient and helpful throughout this thread.
So thanks to EnochLight for that!

Surely you can sell the Suite version as the full suite version? This makes no sense.EnochLight wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:33 pmRack Extension licenses are non-transferrable - they remain tied to your account. Perhaps - maybe worth reaching out to support to verify before one purchases the Suite (if your goal is to be able to sell the entire thing and transfer all licenses)? Maybe they changed their RE policy for bundles and the new Suite? No clue. All I can say is that historically, they have never allowed RE's licenses to be re-sold or transferred.simmo75 wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:46 pmSurely you can sell the Suite version as the full suite version? For those who have bought it already:
If you buy the Suite, do you get a regular Reason license + a bunch of REs?
Or is it a different kind of Reason license?

Just installed my REs and see that they are in yet another folder on the C drive - does anyone know where these are stored? Apparently not in C:\ProgramData\Propellerhead Software . . . .bharris22 wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 11:00 amThis looks great - I'm going to give it a shot, thanks!DaveClark wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:38 amI filed a ticket about this and was told that no option was "by design." Thanks for your reply Dylan. But I was asking Mattias on purpose because historically what you said is true. However, since Reason Suite includes REs, I want to know if I sell my Reason Suite license, will the buyer get the included REs?EnochLight wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:33 pmRack Extension licenses are non-transferrable - they remain tied to your account. Really hoping a Reason Studios staff member can answer my question?

Can you imagine Reason Studios making a special case for selling REs just because they were part of a bundle?tincture wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 4:12 pmThanks for your reply Dylan. If they did that then the rest of the world who have unwanted REs will jump up and down having a hissy fit as it isn't fair. And it wouldn't be fair.
Grum.

I appreciate your reply, but since Reason Suite includes 16 REs, I really think it's a fair question to ask whether a buyer would receive these if I sell my Reason Suite license.Grumbleweed wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 4:28 pmCan you imagine Reason Studios making a special case for selling REs just because they were part of a bundle?tincture wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 4:12 pmThanks for your reply Dylan. I'm still hoping to get an official answer.
