Hi, I have a question about using Diva with a midi controller that has endless rotary knobs (like novation impulse). Is it possible to set it up so that when changing patches in Diva, the knobs on the controller will "pick up" the new values of the settings they control.
Meaning that if knob 1 controls, say, filter cutoff, and filter cutoff is set to a value of say 10, and then you change to a new patch, and that patch has filter cutoff at 20, will turning knob 1 start changing the value of cutoff from 20 (desired) or jump down to the last patch's value of 10 before changing (not desired)? Also, will the led that indicates the value of the setting for the knob change to the new value when changing the patch?
I use Reaper for DAW software and not sure if this will impact the answer to this question?
If this is possible, is it only possible with certain controllers and software, like for example novation impulse or nocturn with automap, or will it work using midi learn with any hardware controller with endless rotary knobs?
Thanks!

This is one reason why midi learn sucks and assigning parameters based on host automation ID is the way to go. If you are using something like Novation automap, or Komplete Kontrol or Maschine or Push with Ableton or Bitwig, or Nektar products, then the values on your controller will update when your software values update, either from changing presets or from changing something on screen. And this is why I'm constantly bugging developers to make all their controls automatable, not just midi learnable.
