How does one bid? Clicking any manufacturer just takes me to their page.

rockhopper wrote: Wed Oct 02, 2019 12:40 pm It's October! It's the month of the Charity Auction (if you don't know what that is, see last year's: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=512242) Always fun and exciting and for good causes! Plus you can donate to the second hand auction, to get rid of those plugins you don't use for a good cause.

It's last year's one linked so you can see the sort of deals they had. This year's one isn't ready yet.

I see waves abbey road studio is discounted at $99. Buy now or wait for further discounts? What are the chances of it dropping bellow 99?

Post

Wait until it’s $29. Or lower at resellers like EveryPlugin.com

Post

If anyone not planning to use their October PA voucher and would like to giveaway, I would be happy to take it. Appreciate the gesture in advance. Thanks.

Yes, it may take some time. Waves guys have a mathematical model, based on huge amount of observations, how the
-plugin initial price point
-initial demand
-demand over time
-demand with lower price points over time

will progress.

Waves guys milk optimal amount of sales in every price point to maximize their total profit. Its called price differentation in economics.

It seems that the ARS is in the top decile of the Waves plugins, in terms of demand/price stamina over time -ratio.

I wonder if this one was more successful that other waves plugins, I ponied up the 99 after doing a mix with the demo, felt like it was worth the money. Anyhow, in that case it may take longer for it to reach lower numbers.

I wasnt going to mention this but saw this post. I recently moved and will be working on headphones a lot. I tried the demo of Abbey Road Studio and really liked it and want to buy.

I KNOW IT WILL BE $29 EVENTUALLY.

The question for me is how long do I wait, maybe BF or maybe next year? Anyway I noticed in their site , they mentioned that people who purchased NX or other Abbey Roads products would get a discount voucher. I never got this. I wrote to them yesterday and they responded with a one off code bringing the price to $69. I fully realize I could wait but I'm going in on this.

Part of my rational is I ,through a confluence of codes ,timing and info found here, purchased Horizon bundle for $153 last year.

Also I like Waves, especially there customer service

If I should imply, ARS will be $ 69 in the Xmas sales, $ 49 in spring 2020, and $ 29 by the end of the 2020.

If this suggested pricing scenario was the case , I'm more than happy to buy now. I cant see wasting a year for $40 when I could be making music

Are you speculating or do you know this for a fact? I know Amazon use machines to determine prices but I wasn't aware that Waves do the same.

Surely they calculate how to move on with the pricing - every company, with a larger product portfolio does. Its vital. No news here.

Audio Plugin Deals have released their own debut product - and true to their form they advertise it as a bargain not to be missed, except I think they have really overblown the ludicrous game by the margin they have slashed. Laughable to me and certainly dont need more loops, but is anyone actually buying this when there's so much else to fish for?
