VCV Rack should get VST support either late this year or early next, which I think will really expand the popularity of it around here, and U-he recently asked about interest in VCV modules. So let's say U-he did make some VCV modules...what would you like to see?
My wishlist:
CVliization - this one seems obvious
Bazille Oscillator
Any U-he filters
Multiplexer - simple, but brilliant design IMO
Shape Squencer from Hive - same as above
Some of the synth effects (Diva chorus, Lyrebird, Bazille spring, Drench, etc.)
Maybe an analog osc bank
Maybe the uhm/WT osc from Hive
I suspect if they did ALL of that, or even some of those, there could be the risk of cutting into sales of the synths, but if priced right (maybe $40 for a few filters and $40 for an osc) maybe it could just be another revenue stream. I already own the synths and would totally love some VCV modules. I expect some other Rack heads may not really be that familiar with U-he and this could open up some avenues as well.

An electric-shock trigger module.
I'm biased ~and paranoid~. I want Zebra3 and any other suggestion is a threat.

It might also make Rack-Heads say 'cool I was going to buy a u-he synth but now that their synth components are in my rack I don't need to'. It would also divert u-he human resources from the Cat, etcetera (I am presuming Urs only thinks about this after Z3 is released).Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 6:55 pmI expect some other Rack heads may not really be that familiar with U-he and this could open up some avenues as well.

Nah, Z3 is definitely a top priority over there and from what I hear, and that's not going to change. Plus, VCV development is pretty easy from what I understand. I bet an intern could port some of that U-he code to VCV in no time (relatively speaking).spunkmuffin wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 7:43 pm I admit I'm biased ~and paranoiod~. ...it always seems easy anyway until you do it.

It's not just development it's support.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2019 8:01 pmPlus, VCV development is pretty easy from what I understand.
And u-he have previously had somewhat ...hmm... let's say 'character-building' experiences with platforms they don't control (Reason racks) and magazine synths (Tyrell @ amazona).
